"Little brother, it's been a long time."
Shi Yi spoke softly, his expression calm, his eyes as still as an ancient well.
"I trust you've been well."
Shi Hao answered with the same composure, though deep inside, he could not keep his heart from stirring.
He thought of the grudge over the bone-digging in the Lower Realm and their battle in the Void God Realm, then of exchanging the Golden Paper in the Upper Realm's Heavenly Origin Secret Realm and escaping together. Most of all, he remembered the sneering mockery in Heavenly City's dungeon and the images captured on the Recording Stone.
By his reckoning, he and Shi Yi were entangled far too deeply, their karma linked in an unbroken chain.
Shi Hao sighed inwardly. As expected of the peerless nemesis bound to him by fate, Shi Yi exerted an unparalleled pressure.
Their contest across the intervening space did not stop. Instead, it grew ever fiercer.
Their terrifying auras collided in the empty space like roaring mountains and surging seas, producing dreadful howls and sounds of shattering.
Bone text surged and exploded in the air, bursting into blazing divine radiance. The space between them nearly collapsed altogether.
This was a confrontation at the pinnacle, an invisible clash. The Twin Stones had met again, their waves shaking the world. Every creature in Immortal-Falling Ridge sensed those immense fluctuations and looked toward them in shock.
Even beings as powerful as the First Generations were insignificant as ants before these two, destroyable with a wave of the hand. They were no longer on the same level.
Even Ancient Freaks would quake upon encountering them, trembling from the depths of their souls. Within all of Immortal Ancient, cultivators of the same realm qualified to oppose either of them could be counted on one's fingers.
