Upstream on the "River of Time," every one of the dozen or so beings wore an expression of shock.
What had they just seen?
Jin Hao, seventh on the Supreme Heaven Ranking, at the Extreme Dao Summit, the Golden Crow Race's most dazzling prodigy in the human dao domain, had actually been wounded by an unknown Extreme Dao Supreme. Golden Crow blood dripped from him.
It was simply inconceivable.
Lin Ni's lips parted slightly, her eyes resting on Shi Yi as she recalled the seemingly outlandish things he had said earlier.
At the time, she had thought this being far too conceited. Now it seemed she had been too quick to judge.
Still, the gulf between an Extreme Dao Supreme and the Extreme Dao Summit was anything but small. They were worlds apart, and no one would have believed Shi Yi was a match for Jin Hao.
As those standing at the very tip of the Supreme realm's pyramid, the beings upstream on the "River of Time" were deeply calculating. After their brief shock, they immediately regained their composure, though waves still surged within their hearts.
They knew how powerful Jin Hao was. Although he ranked seventh, the beings in the top ten were all fairly close in strength. It was difficult to say who was stronger or weaker, since they had never truly fought one another to the death.
They did not particularly care about the rankings themselves, either. Being in the top ten was enough; who specifically held first place did not matter.
Yet someone as powerful as Jin Hao had suffered at the hands of an Extreme Dao Supreme. It was unimaginable. In Shi Yi's place, none of them could have done it.
There was only one explanation: that newcomer downstream possessed unfathomable strength and astonishing potential.
