The Yellow Flower Cat leaned forward, its head nearly buried in the small teacup. Its golden eyes reflected on the surface of the tea, glittering brightly.
The response it received was the bookstore owner's faint yet unceasing snoring.
The flower cat twitched its ears, trying to block out the pervasive noise, but with little success. Just as it was about to lose patience, a violent explosion erupted from the Pedestrian Street outside, interrupting the gentleman's snores and venting the Yellow Flower Cat's pent-up anger. It raised its head and looked out the window.
Boom!
Awooo!!
Several enormous Gog Giants with grayish-white skin swung thick wooden clubs, roaring as they destroyed every building within sight. Dozens of Huo Dou, their eyes blazing red, followed the paths opened by the Gog Giants, setting fires all the way and turning the sky dark crimson.
Huge flocks of Shadhavar Birds circled overhead, occasionally mixed with several strange birds with three heads or multiple tails. Their shrill cries spread an aura of terror.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Urgent bells rang from Gamma Building at the center of town, attempting to intimidate the monsters attacking Beta Town. Every so often, a distress spell shot into the sky and burst into an enormous, eye-catching firework.
But at a time like this, people still had to rely mostly on themselves.
