Ogres were ugly, greedy Magical Creatures, evil by nature.
They were distant relatives of Giants and goblins, yet they had inherited neither the Giants' imposing stature nor the goblins' sharpness and intelligence. Instead, they had inherited the goblins' greed and the Giants' laziness.
Adult ogres stood over three meters tall and weighed more than two hundred kilograms. They lived in groups, ate anything, and especially enjoyed the flesh and blood of other Magical Creatures—even eating their own kind. They could grow through this, and like hyenas on the plains, they were loathed by other magical races.
Like the Merfolk Tribe, traditional Ogre Tribes had their own shamans. They possessed simple traditions of Divination Studies and herbalism, while shamans from somewhat larger Ogre Tribes could even master certain vicious Black Magic curses.
Yet the ogres that had suddenly appeared at the edge of the Aiyafala Foothills did not match the young wizards of the You Zui Hunting Team's usual understanding of them.
"Under normal circumstances, a small Ogre Tribe consists of around ten males, six or seven females, and three to five young."
Zhang Jixin had watched the tribe all morning and could not wait to share his confusion with his companions. "But there aren't any young among the ogres below, and there are as many as thirteen females—two more than the males... More importantly, they have no shaman. Instead, they have a Two-headed Ogre."
"Did you see what kind of Two-headed Ogre it was?" Zheng Qing pressed.
Based on the position of their heads, Two-headed Ogres were generally divided into two types. One had its second head growing from its shoulder, and was called a Yin-Yang Ogre, or a Conjoined Ogre. The other had its head growing beneath its jaw, and was called a Hooped-Head Ogre, or a Multi-headed Ogre.
