Zheng Qing would not give up long-term stability just because he had gotten lucky once. He immediately reached out and grabbed the paper bag. "Drinking your fill doesn't satisfy hunger. Old Yao's class burns through a lot of magic power. I need something substantial to fill my stomach."
As he spoke, he set the milk tea on the desk, then fished several Copper Coins out of the Gray Cloth Bag and stuffed them into Fatty Xin's pocket. That was payment for the buns, eggs, and soy milk in the paper bag.
As Zheng Qing stuffed in the Copper Coins, he caught sight of the clipboard and Quill Pen on the Fat Wizard's desk. A look of understanding crossed his face. "I knew you'd treat this morning's question session as a chance to interview a Legendary Wizard... Say, I thought you'd grab seats in the first two rows. You scared me. I stayed up late making up homework last night and didn't sleep well. I was counting on catching a nap in Old Yao's class today."
"You could at least pay me a little more for my trouble..." Fatty Xin grumbled. He shook his pocket, listening to the Copper Coins clink inside, then shot Zheng Qing an annoyed look. "I wanted to sit in front too! But who knew what those witches were thinking? They came early in the morning to claim seats. By the time I got here, only these seats in the back were left."
He had not expected his casual remark to hit a sore spot again.
Zheng Qing gave an awkward laugh and casually picked up the sheet of parchment in front of Fatty Xin. "Were all these questions listed by you, or did they come from the School Newspaper Editorial Department?"
