Bang!
The Wander Bar's front doors were blasted to pieces by a tremendous force. A violent gust swept shattered wood in every direction. The Big Frog that had been squatting at the entrance clutched its head, stuck its rear high in the air, and trembled beneath the shadow of the doorway.
It was midnight, and there were no students in the bar. Several shadowy figures in black robes hid their faces, each acting furtively. At the commotion, they all looked toward the door with uncertainty and alarm in their eyes. The more cautious among them had already opened their spellbooks and raised protective barriers.
Boom!
The immense pressure of an Archwizard flooded into the tiny bar, making the pillars and surrounding walls creak under the strain. The towering liquor cabinet trembled faintly, and the bottles within rubbed against one another, producing soft, continuous clinking. The guests from the darker world all showed terror in their eyes.
"Get out!"
A cold voice came from outside, utterly impolite.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Streaks of escape light flared as they rushed for the entrance. Quite a few tried to leave directly with Spatial Magic or through the bar's secret passages, only to be knocked back inside by flashes of green light. In the end, they could only cover their faces and follow the others through the sole exit the Archwizard had left open.
Fortunately, there were no crowds of wizards from the Trident Sword or the School Labor Committee waiting outside. Only four green pillars stood in the night, supporting a hazy green barrier. The guests who fled the bar turned into streams of light and scattered in all directions, unhindered.
Tap, tap, tap.
