Poseidon, nestled in his arms, waved her tiny paws and begged the young wizard for Candied Hawthorn Skewers—vendors pushing carts were trailing behind the parade, hawking snacks. Behind the bright glass windows of the carts, the sugar-coated hawthorns looked especially tempting.

"Didn't I give you new year's money yesterday? Go buy it yourself... buy whatever you want." The young wizard generously set the Little Fox on the ground, then warned her, "But don't buy the whole cart."

Poseidon clung to the hem of his robe and refused to leave.
