Listening to the chewing echoing between heaven and earth, the Dark Council Speaker let out a low groan.
"May the Headmaster protect us..."
He muttered, his face full of wry smiles. "Why did I have to get involved in this kind of trouble?"
Then he turned to the bald giant beside him and added weakly, "Why did you have to get involved in this kind of trouble?"
Although Kotos had only recently entered Legend, he was still a seasoned Archwizard who knew many secrets both within and beyond the Alliance. Naturally, he knew the panda's identity.
So he fell silent as well.
"If you're lucky, First University will only hunt you down. If you're unlucky, it'll be Death and Dao Annihilation." The Dark Council Speaker sounded on the verge of losing his breath. "Why bother? Why put yourself through this?"
He had been serving perfectly well as the Dark Council Speaker. Why had he insisted on dragging this newly advanced Legend into his organization?
Kotos had only just advanced to Legend. Why did he have to get caught up in such a massive whirlpool?
For a moment, countless thoughts spun through the old wizard's mind, leaving him full of worry and melancholy. He could only feel that fate was deeply malicious toward both him and the Dark Council—last time, in Black Prison, when First University fought the demons and monsters, the Dark Council had suffered the heaviest losses. And now it was happening again. If they were unlucky, one misstep might cost this council even its main pillar.

New Radiant Spheres continued to pour endlessly from the countless open doors in the void, yet the enormous face filling the sky did not grow clearer. Instead, it became increasingly blurred and uncertain.
