After seeing the guest out, Patrick's expression grew somewhat grave. Several passing white-robed figures looked with mild surprise at the yellow-robed guest walking away, whispering to one another about what deal the Black Family and Atlas Academy had made this time.
Patrick ignored those prying gazes and hushed whispers.
He turned and returned to the lounge, hurrying to write one letter each to his cousin and the current head of the Black Family at his desk.
"—Dear Matthew,"
he wrote. "The Tukiji Cult believer I mentioned to you before visited the castle today, begging for the Black Family's First Embrace.
