Wiland did not know what the Little Witch meant by "white ding," but he instinctively guessed she was referring to the ten powerless newcomers behind him.
But at that moment, he had no mood to care about such details.
The instant he stepped out of the Whale Ray, his heart sank. The North American Team's earlier plan to "split into two groups" had been declared bankrupt before it had even begun.
The "First Plaza" mentioned in the broadcast was an enormous square paved with White Marble. The pristine white slabs were nearly spotless, making even the sunlight falling upon them seem a little clearer.
At the center of the plaza stood a tall stone platform.
A magnificent stone gate stood atop it. A black Triangular Prism-shaped emblem hung at the center of the lintel, while a maxim from Huaxia was carved into the pillars on either side: "To learn without thinking is labor lost; to think without learning is perilous." Wiland remembered that the Supreme Court building in America had a statue of the sage who had spoken those words above its entrance.
The Whale Ray had landed at the edge of the plaza.
Also parked in that area were a massive chariot drawn by three pitch-black fire dragons; a tall Tree Person hugging its knees and squatting obediently nearby; a metallic sphere gleaming silver all over; and a silver-white ancient castle floating in midair. Wiland could clearly see that both the fire dragons and the towering Tree Person faintly radiated the Light of the Soul that could only be accessed after reaching the fourth tier. Though that radiance was murky, they would have been genuine core members in any Reincarnator team within the Main God Space. Yet here, they were pulling carts and serving as mounts.
By comparison, the
