"—Go notify the school. I'll hold them off."
Nicholas gave the order calmly, removing his Deerskin Gloves to reveal the two rings on his hands.
On his left hand was a Ruby Ring, an inferior Philosopher's Stone Colmar had equipped some North District Wizards with, capable of providing a wizard with abundant auxiliary Magic Power. On his right hand was an emerald ring, the deployment device for Edge Type-1.
The wizard interlaced his fingers, briefly linking the Magic Power between the two rings before flipping his hands and forming several dazzling hand seals.
As Magic Power surged, a massive figure silently appeared before the two young wizards.
It stood roughly seven meters tall, with a slender build, an insect-like face, and a long lizard-like tail. Many vital parts of its body were covered in hard, smooth armor, its shell covered in pale green mutation runes. A flame-shaped ring mark was branded on its forehead, engraved with the seal-script number "Twenty-Seven," representing its sequence among the Edge Type-1 units.
A complex circular Magic Circle unfolded beneath Nicholas's feet like a blooming flower, and the radiance rising from it easily swallowed the wizard's figure.

Worry filled the witch's eyes. Although her "Lin Xia You He" could detect those monsters, meaning their Magic Power could not exceed Registered Wizard level, their number—more than a hundred—still created immense pressure.
Don't think that number sounded insignificant. Once it took the form of a hundred monsters charging at you, the sense of oppression far surpassed that of a hundred stampeding bison.
"—Don't worry."
Nicholas opened his mouth and silently mouthed those words to Liu Feifei.
The witch understood what he meant. Even if he could not stop those monsters, he would withdraw in advance
