After devastating the Gao Family, Lu Chen left with compensation and joined his friends at Qishi Mansion, where he encountered the world’s gathered young prodigies. The great powers turned their attention to a new alliance seeking Wushi’s legacy in Purple Mountain.
Lu Chen declined an invitation to join Qishi Mansion and returned to the Eastern Wasteland to seek a Netherworld Divine Herb that could strengthen his divine sense. He found the herb growing in a Yellow Springs pool beneath Eagle-Fall Cliff and considered how to use it without suffering its harmful side effects.
Lu Chen used the Netherworld Divine Herb to strengthen his divine sense, then entered the Primordial Battlefield’s core to temper himself and his weapons with the lingering laws of ancient Ancestor Kings. After restoring and refining several treasures, he forged the Primordial Battle Spear into a Dragon Spear.
After escaping the Primordial Battlefield, Lu Chen was struck by the curse afflicting Source Arts masters but erased it with the Solar and Taiyin True Scriptures. He broke through to the second heaven of the Immortal Platform and then heard that Wang Teng’s attempt to seize Great Emperor Wushi’s inheritance had failed.
After reaching the Immortal Two Realm, Lu Chen learned to operate a Five-Colored Altar and traveled to the Ji Family, where Ye Fan was expected to confront Wang Teng over Ji Ziyue’s marriage alliance. Lu Chen offered to support Ye Fan if needed.
Ye Fan defeated Wang Teng at the Ji Family, then opened the Bronze Ancient Coffin with Lu Chen and their companions. The coffin returned to the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land, and Ye Fan departed across the stars; Lu Chen assured his grieving friends that Ye Fan would return in ten years before leaving.
Lu Chen activated the Five-Colored Altar and left Big Dipper on the Starry Sky Ancient Road, heading toward Earth. After arriving on a barren star and defeating its surviving monsters, he found the altar and continued his dangerous journey across the stars.
Lu Chen discovered that the Five-Colored Altar was in the Ant Dragon race’s possession and infiltrated their floating continent to retrieve it. After killing the Ant Dragon King, he used the Immortal-Slaying Gourd to destroy the pursuing swarm and left the star through the altar.
After fighting his way along the Starry Sky Ancient Road, Lu Chen reached Hangu Pass and met its guardian, Demon Venerable Xuan Chi. He passed through the ancient battlefield and returned to Earth, where the planet’s suppressive laws began weakening his strength.
Lu Chen ventured into Kunlun’s forbidden central region, following a copied terrain map through Emperor Zun and the Nether Emperor’s deadly formation. He reached the Immortal Ascension Ground and found the divine mark purple gold he had come to claim.
Lu Chen recovered a Divine Mark Purple Gold Pagoda and four medicine kings from Kunlun before leaving the Immortal Valley. At Mount Zhongnan, he comprehended Laozi’s Dao marks and learned an incomplete One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones, then faced Taoists coveting his pagoda.
Lu Chen subdued cultivators who coveted his Immortal Gold Pagoda and visited the Lingbao Sect to investigate Heavenly Venerable Lingbao’s legacy. After recovering the Deliverance Scripture from the sect’s Dao platform, he gained a chance to pursue the Lingbao Four Slaying Swords.
Lu Chen visited the Lingbao Sect and Shushan, where he acquired the Deliverance Scripture and explored Chisongzi’s ancient sword sanctuary. He left the Immortal Map pieces untouched and settled into secluded cultivation before the Immortal Sword Heaven Pool.
Lu Chen refined Chisongzi’s sword intent, advanced to the sixth minor step of the Immortal Two Realm, and merged two Immortal Gold Pagodas into a nine-layer embryonic supreme Dao Artifact. He then visited Xu Qiong and Ye Fan’s parents in China’s Capital, showed them scenes of Ye Fan’s life on the Big Dipper, and left them asking whether Ye Fan was alive.
Lu Chen visited the families of Ye Fan and his companions, then spent five years living as an ordinary person to deepen his understanding of the Dao. After years without progress, he broke through to the immortal two peak and reached the threshold of severing the Dao.
After five years on Earth, Lu Chen returned to the Big Dipper as the Golden Age began and the Primordial Myriad Races emerged. He listened to cultivators debate the leading human and ancient-race prodigies, while his own reappearance remained unknown to them.
Lu Chen arrived in the Northern Region and rescued Pang Bo from Yuan Gu, the heir of Primordial Lake, before challenging him. After healing Pang Bo, Lu Chen faced Yuan Gu as the fight began anew.
Lu Chen battled Yuan Gu, heir of the Primordial Lake and bearer of an ancient emperor bloodline, and gained the upper hand after both fighters healed from grave wounds. He shattered Yuan Gu with a manifested Immortal-Slaying Gourd, but Ancient Race kings and a hidden Ancestor King prepared to strike.
Lu Chen endured Yuan Gu’s repeated revivals and fought against the Yuan Huang Dao Sword, a taboo secret art that inflicted the power of Dao Transformation. He cleansed its effects, learned to disrupt the sword, and ended the chapter blocking it with his fist.
Lu Chen overwhelmed Yuan Gu with the Six Paths of Reincarnation Fist, repeatedly destroying Yuan Huang's Dao Sword and forcing Yuan Gu to revive at the cost of his vital essence. When a hidden Primordial Ancestor King intervened to stop Yuan Gu from using a forbidden art, the Ancestor King attacked Lu Chen himself, leaving him trapped beneath a Saint-level assault.
Wei Yi, a human Saint, saved Lu Chen from a Primordial Ancestral King after Lu Chen defeated Yuan Gu, then vanished after asking about Lu Chen’s Six Paths of Reincarnation Fist. Lu Chen resolved to prepare more trump cards and traveled to the ruins of the Feathered Divine Dynasty.
Lu Chen broke into the Eternal Eclosion Ancestral Temple and collected rare treasures while avoiding its deadly traps. He discovered the Divine Nine-Layer Coffin containing the still-living God Emperor and hesitated over whether to take it.
Lu Chen returned from the Eternal Eclosion Ancestral Temple and found the Eastern Wasteland in turmoil as the Primordial Myriad Races and the Assassin Divine Dynasties attacked humans. After Hell or Human World killed Liu Feng, an assassin appeared and challenged Lu Chen, leaving them on the verge of a fight.
Lu Chen fought Human World's Divine Son in the Holy City and killed him despite his damaged Saint Weapon and hidden protector. He left with the Sixth Great Bandit's corpse and bone pagoda, while other prodigies recognized him as a major rival on the path to the Dao.
Lu Chen received the remains of Liu Feng from the Great Bandits and told them their missing descendants might be trapped in Nine Netherworlds Mountain. Later, he met the Divine Silkworm Daoist in the Holy City and invited him to drink.
