Background / History

Xin Luo is a Mermaid Princess described as a once-in-a-century genius of her clan. She grew up pampered and subsequently spent years living comfortably on Sea God Island, where she became its only female Sacred Pillar Guardian Douluo 14 19.

She once exchanged letters with her grandfather, but dangerous sea routes and the loss of messengers to predators eventually ended their correspondence. By the time she revisited her people’s home, they had been out of contact for many years 38.

Bo Saixi recalls that the Evil Orca King had previously fought Sea Witch and Xiao Bai while he was still an ordinary Evil Orca King. The circumstances of that earlier battle are not detailed 16.

She is also quick-witted and skilled at bargaining. Her alternating-question arrangement with Ren Tao lets her gather information while exploiting openings for mind reading. When cornered, she appeals to his principles, their lack of a personal grudge, and the consequences of provoking Bo Saixi 17 18 19.

Xin Luo dislikes bloodthirsty combat but retains considerable pride in her royal lineage and guardian position. She surrenders when Ren Tao overwhelms her attack, yet later declares that she would rather self-destruct than submit to forced devouring 19 20.
