Firestorm's arrival greatly surprised the other leading members of the Justice League.
His abilities were simply too outrageous. Even Superman looked grave when he saw this Firestorm whom Brad had radically modified. He had never imagined that someone so powerful existed on Earth.

He could even turn the entire Earth into kryptonite. Now, that process would scarcely be more difficult than turning a leaf into a cigarette had been for the old Firestorm.
Even Batman began to worry about Firestorm joining them. Brad's theory of the good and evil scales had been proven repeatedly. With Firestorm now possessing combat strength comparable to Superman's, they could not help wondering just how powerful the dark forces coming in the future would be.

Brad did not meet them all, however. He saw only Sandman, who commanded dream power, Delirium, whom Brad had glimpsed not long ago, and Desire, who had been drawn over by the gifts in Brad's hands.
To Brad's surprise, the three treated him quite well.
Since Brad could also be considered to have touched the sixth tier of the Multiverse, Sandman told him bluntly that, if he was willing to integrate himself completely into this place, they would reserve an eighth position
