Kong Kenan looked at Giant Spirit God and the other immortals who had stopped with him. The respect on his face was gone, and his voice was cold.
"Oh?"
Giant Spirit God's grin faded slightly, as though he hadn't expected Kong Kenan to have another question.
But that bloodthirsty smile soon returned, the fat on his face quivering.
"What else would you like to know, young friend? Ask away."
"What I'd like to know is this: if no living creature in the world escaped the Demon Rain, were the immortals of the East and the gods of the West really left completely unharmed?"
As Kong Kenan asked his question, the yin-yang qi inside him circulated faster and faster. He put himself on full alert as he watched the Eastern immortals before him.
"What kind of question is that?"
Giant Spirit God roared with laughter. "We immortals would naturally never be affected by a mere Demon Rain. A pity about this world, though. Who knows how long it will take for new life to emerge?"
