Power Progression
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Universe Level | 19 | Nurtured after Chen Ao reached the fragment’s cultivation level. Universe crystals supplied its growth energy; its body measured roughly 5,000 kilometers. |
| Perfect gene level — 10,081× | 20 | Highlander’s Blood empowerment raised its gene multiplier to the perfect level, granting the innate secret technique Void Slaughter. The technique required Undying cultivation to activate. |
| World Lord | 43 44 | Its body had grown to eight million kilometers after substantial investment. With perfect genes, it possessed over a thousand vines and killed King-level Immortals using Strangulation. |
| Undying | 46 | Broke through inside the Ancestral God Secret Realm while concealing its connection to Chen Ao. Absorption and W Meditation produced 176% divine-body conversion, expanding its body to fourteen million kilometers. Chen Ao’s Earthling body remained a World Lord. |
Species Characteristics
- Natural gene multiplier: Approximately 6,000×. Ordinary Sunken Water Vines begin at Universe Level and become immortal upon maturity 18 48.
- Wood-law affinity: The species has an innate command of the wood origin law, with secret patterns useful for law comprehension 18.
- No soul: A Sunken Water Vine cannot be possessed. Its unusually high gene multiplier also prevents ordinary lifeforms—including Golden Horned Beasts—from nurturing it as a clone 18.
- Projected strength: Its genetic and divine-body advantages are described as sufficient for Invincible King strength at Undying and Universe Overlord strength at Venerable 18.
- Ordinary specimen comparison: Cangshi King had seen an Immortal Sunken Water Vine with slightly over 130 vines and a body just over three million kilometers long—far smaller than Chen Ao’s enhanced clone 47.
Background / History
Creation and Cultivation
After the Genius Battle, Chen Ao bought a palm-sized Sunken Water Vine fragment from the Virtual Universe Company’s treasury. His Primal Secret Region discount reduced its price from 100,000 to 70,000 points, and it was delivered to Qiu Long Star. He intended to nurture a clone and initially keep it near Earth as an additional safeguard 18.
Once the clone formed, Chen Ao discovered that Strangulation’s innate patterns combined Wood, Water, and Space Laws. Those patterns became a foundation for his cultivation, influencing his choice of the Original Wood and Wood-Space Essays manuals. He stored the clone in the Q Skill’s exclusive space and studied its body during the journey to Chaos City 19 20.
Its growth consumed Chen Ao’s Genius Battle prize money. By Chapter 43, he had already invested two billion points in nurturing it and committed another three billion to strengthening it and raising its growth limits 28 43.
Defense of Earth
When Yanzhu King threatened to seize Earth, Chen Ao sent the World Lord clone to confront him. Appearing as a burly humanoid, it killed Yanzhu King’s King-level Immortal companions with its vines. A high-level King expert capable of Space Lockdown resisted for only a few exchanges before being strangled to death 43 44.
The clone then killed Yanzhu King and collected his Heavy Treasure Armor and Supreme Treasure. When Shi Huo Venerable arrived, Chen Ao acknowledged the killing and framed the confrontation as an attempted assassination against him, referring the dispute to the Chaos City Lord 44.
Ancestral God Religion Infiltration
Chen Ao sent the clone to the Ancestral God Secret Realm to establish a separate identity. Its soulless nature and system-mediated connection allowed him to conceal its relationship with his Earthling body. The independent Undying breakthrough confirmed that even the Universe Origin could not identify the concealed connection 46.
Afterward, Chen Ao posed as a newborn plant lifeform. Cangshi King discovered it, concluded that it was too powerful and unusually large to be an ordinary Sunken Water Vine, and named it Ten-Thousand-Wood Vine. Months of coaxing—and promises of tasty food—eventually persuaded the supposedly inexperienced lifeform to accompany him 47.
Cangshi King brought it before the Two-Faced Ancestral God, who detected perfect genes but no evidence of a clone. A subsequent spacetime investigation found no indication that another being had transported it there, and the Ancestral Gods accepted its apparent native origin. After receiving knowledge through the Will of the Original Universe, Chen Ao chose Vinewood King as its name 48 49.
Appearance
- Natural form: An enormous vine lifeform, reaching fourteen million kilometers upon becoming Undying 46.
- Vines: Initially possessed more than a hundred vines; its perfect-gene form later had over a thousand 19 44.
- Earth confrontation form: Appeared as a burly man roughly ten meters tall, with combat vines extending from its body 43 44.
- Ancestral God Religion form: After Cangshi King taught it to shrink, it became a ten-meter-tall, vaguely humanoid lifeform with tiny vines growing over its body 48.
Personality
The clone retains Chen Ao’s complete memories and consciousness, even when its perceptions are isolated from his Earthling body. Its apparent infant personality is a deliberate performance rather than a separate, immature mind 46 47.
During the infiltration, Chen Ao feigns ignorance, weak language skills, and instinctive attachment to the Two-Faced Ancestral God. He privately finds the affectionate performance uncomfortable but maintains it to secure the Ancestral God Religion’s trust and support 48 49.
Abilities & Skills
Absorption
- Rapidly absorbs energy to replenish the body and increase its size 19.
- Draws energy from the universe; nurturing a larger body increases the size of its eventual divine body 21.
- Works alongside W Meditation without interference. During its Undying breakthrough, both abilities absorbed divine power from the Law Ocean 46.
Strangulation
- Uses multiple vines to bind and strangle targets; its innate secret patterns fuse Wood, Water, and Space Laws 19.
- Can be activated without fully understanding the underlying fusion laws, though its power depends on cultivation level 20.
- At World Lord, annihilated King-level Immortals, including a high-level King with Space Lockdown 44.
- Inspired an extremely weakened sword technique that Chen Ao’s human body used to check an Undying serpent’s charge in the Purgatory Abyss 31.
- At full power, belongs among the strongest Universe Master fusion secret techniques; access to the technique does not itself confer that cultivation realm 43.
Void Slaughter
- Granted by the Universe Origin when the clone attained perfect genes 20.
- Fuses Gold, Wood, and Space Laws, placing it on the same level as Strangulation 20.
- Requires Undying cultivation to use. Chen Ao initially postponed studying it because he lacked the necessary understanding of the gold origin law 20 43.
Soulless Body and System Concealment
- Its soulless energy body prevents soul attacks from killing Chen Ao through the clone 46.
- Its connection to the main body runs through the system rather than a conventional soul link. Concealing life auras and severing connections allowed its separate breakthrough 46.
- While isolated, the bodies communicate through the Virtual Universe. Restoring their shared perceptions would also cause the Earthling body to advance to Undying 46.
- Chen Ao can recreate the clone if it dies 46.
- The Q Skill enabled travel of nearly twenty light-years per jump during its journey to the Ancestral God Secret Realm 46.
Equipment / Items
- Universe crystals — Supplied energy for the clone’s initial nurturing 19.
- World Ring — Carried the clone before it began its journey to the Ancestral God Secret Realm 46.
- Spacetime gray crystal — Used to disrupt investigation and resurrection around its staged birthplace 46 47.
- Yanzhu King’s treasures — Heavy Treasure Armor and a Supreme Treasure collected after his death; their use by the clone is not shown 44.
Relationships
- Chen Ao — Creator and shared identity. The clone preserves his memories and consciousness while operating separately from his Earthling body 19 46.
- Luo Feng — Protected by the clone during Yanzhu King’s attempt to seize Earth; witnessed its World Lord-level defeat of King Immortals 43 44.
- Cangshi King — Discoverer, original namer, and guide into the Ancestral God Religion. Taught it to shrink and reported being sent flying by a single vine 47 48.
- Two-Faced Ancestral God — Examined its perfect genes, agreed to nurture it, and imparted knowledge through the Will of the Original Universe 48 49.
- Yanzhu King — Enemy killed by the clone after threatening Earth and Luo Feng 43 44.
- Shi Huo Venerable — Yanzhu King’s father; confronted Chen Ao after his son’s death and agreed to refer the dispute to higher authorities 44.
