Mount Myōboku, Ryūchi Cave, and Shikkotsu Forest were considered the three rather unusual Great Sage Lands of this world. Kenichi Amamiya had never paid much attention to those places before. After all, the so-called Sages there were no longer much to look at in his eyes, so he had never visited any of the three. But Jiraiya's strange look gave him some ideas. He planned to visit these so-called Sages and see what had allowed them to survive until now, then examine the Senjutsu they had mastered. Perhaps it could contribute to some of his other research. With that in mind, Kenichi made up his mind. He would first visit the Great Toad Sage of Mount Myōboku, who could foresee the future to a certain extent, then go to Ryūchi Cave, and finally Shikkotsu Forest. That was the order he had decided on. Jiraiya had already left and would follow Kenichi's instructions: gather the members of Kara, bring them together, and fight for the peace of this world. Kenichi watched Jiraiya with a faint smile before leaving the infirmary. He had some guesses about Jiraiya's thoughts. After all, in his previous world, Kenichi had known very well what a special person Jiraiya was. Jiraiya had been special in the original story too. Sometimes, he was willing to sacrifice himself and ignore the risks. That could be seen from the part where Nagato killed him. During their battle, Nagato had held back many times and given Jiraiya plenty of chances to escape, but Jiraiya had still stayed behind. In the end, he gathered enough intelligence, and Nagato decided that allowing Jiraiya to live would affect his plans, so he killed him.
