A special parasite like Okada Ayaka, one that could only transform once, reminded him of the insects he had considered before—those capable of metamorphosis. Could this be a form of metamorphosis possessed by parasites like Okada Ayaka? That would make sense, except these guys did not spin cocoons. Instead, they somehow transformed directly into these creatures. With that thought, Kenichi Amamiya began to form some ideas. Though those ideas had all sorts of problems, he felt he could still give them a try. These things were not particularly troublesome for him anyway. With that in mind, he brought Okada Ayaka to the laboratory and began some research. He had previously extracted her genes while she had still been in her bug form. Now, she had become human, but that was not a problem for him. He extracted her current genes and compared them. With the help of the supercomputer, he quickly completed the comparison. Once it was done, he discovered that Okada Ayaka's genes had indeed undergone earth-shaking changes. If the former Okada Ayaka had unquestionably been an alien creature, then the current Okada Ayaka was a human. Some genes within her were still somewhat different, but the differences were not especially obvious. After making several comparisons himself, Kenichi Amamiya felt that the discrepancy was probably subtle. Around 172 groups of genes had issues, and he believed these genes were the primary reason for the drastic changes in Okada Ayaka's body.
