"Is he still trapped in the illusion?" Otsutsuki Pushiki looked curiously at Mitsuba before him. Kenichi Amamiya nodded. This guy was having quite a bit of fun and was completely hooked now. Even Teng Shu was somewhat puzzled. Could the illusion he had created really be that irresistible? Kenichi Amamiya did not mind, though. This would let him gather more intelligence instead.
Otsutsuki Pushiki leaned closer and took a look.
"What a bore." Mitsuba sighed.
He had not expected Giovanni to have been testing him all along. Strictly speaking, though, Giovanni had not been wrong. He really was a prophet.
Calling himself a god would have been far too arrogant, and Mitsuba's Cheat System was not powerful enough for that either.
Although Giovanni was a highly charismatic man, a villain was still a villain. If Giovanni had not been imprisoned, who knew how many people would have been attacked, or how many Pokémon would have suffered inhuman torment?
"Heh, you know what you know, Mitsuba. But I can tell you, as well as Lorelei, that I won't be imprisoned here for long." Giovanni spoke with absolute confidence. Mitsuba almost laughed. What backup could Giovanni possibly have? What could it be? There was hardly any need to guess. Unless Natsume, Lt. Surge, and the other Pokémon League Gym Leaders were Giovanni's senior executives, Giovanni would have to wait until his next life to get out.
"Let me guess, then. What is the source of your confidence?" Mitsuba felt a little playful. He intended to tease Giovanni and see whether he could bluff something out of him.
Giovanni was a deeply calculating man. When he heard Mitsuba's words, he was indeed somewhat nervous inside, but outwardly, he still looked utterly composed.
