"Mr. Otsutsuki Roshiki, do you think the idea that the universe is still expanding is correct?" Kenichi Amamiya asked Otsutsuki Roshiki with a smile. Hearing this, Roshiki hesitated. He had originally come to discuss something with Kenichi today, but somehow the subject had veered toward cosmic expansion, leaving him rather puzzled. Still, he said nothing and merely looked at Kenichi in thought before nodding in agreement. In Roshiki's view, the universe was indeed expanding slowly. But that raised some troublesome questions. If the universe continued expanding like this, what would happen? Would it expand forever? If it was expanding, what force was driving that expansion? After all, this world still more or less followed the simple law of conservation of energy. Under such circumstances, if the universe continued to expand, it had to be relying on something. It surely required some sort of energy as an exchange and support. With that in mind, Roshiki knew this world might possess some unique aspects—for example, some strange things that could contain unusual elements. Thinking of that, Roshiki developed a few ideas. However, he still did not know much about how those ideas could be realized or changed. Even so, he now had some thoughts. Yet Roshiki also found it strange. In his view, whether the universe expanded or not had little to do with their current situation. After all, they could barely protect themselves, and they still had external pressure to deal with. So what would knowing it change?
"What do you think would happen if the universe eventually could no longer expand? Would it maintain its current state, or would it begin slowly contracting? What exactly is this world made of? If it contracted, what would the speed of that contraction be? Even now, we don't know the answers to these
