The Demon Race had many problems, from the most basic needs of food and clothing to their inability to engage in production, their loose administration, the humans enslaved by them, and the war between demons and humans.
All of these had directly or indirectly brought about the Demon Race's current circumstances. As for where it had all originated, Huo Yuhao did not know. At least, he could not yet be certain where the roots of these problems lay.
But Huo Yuhao knew one thing: when one's stomach was empty, there was no point in pondering any question or arguing any case.
Huo Yuhao knew that the hungry, low-ranking demons roaming the wilderness were the first problem he needed to address, and the only one he could currently solve.
He could take A Nan and the others to rescue one or several groups of human slaves waiting for death, or distribute food to those hungry demons in the wilderness a few more times...
But could any of that solve those problems? Or rather, Huo Yuhao gradually came to understand that this approach was far too inefficient. He also understood that he currently had no influence over the Demon Race's upper ranks, and the Demon God Emperor's decisions were not something he could sway.
So Huo Yuhao intended to start at the root. There were only two choices for addressing the plight of these starving, low-ranking demons. The first was to buy more grain from the Temple Alliance.
Leaving aside the fact that the Temple Alliance would never allow so much grain to flow out, he could not obtain any steady supply of goods from the Demon God Emperor or elsewhere to trade with the Temple Alliance.
Furthermore, even if it succeeded, it would only solve the problem temporarily-or rather, push it
