This was effectively Xiao An's first time seeing a Skeleton Soldier running straight toward him. At the sight of it, he instinctively felt afraid and subconsciously hid behind Huo Yuhao.
Seeing this, Huo Yuhao neither grew anxious nor lost his temper. He simply watched in silence.
The Skeleton Soldier drew closer and closer, constantly swinging the long saber in its hand.

He watched the Skeleton Soldier approach, its long saber slashing straight down, right toward Huo Yuhao's shoulder.
At that moment, Xiao An stepped in front of him, as though he had made some sort of decision. Then he picked up a stone from the ground and threw it at the saber.
Just as Xiao An did so, the eyes of the young dragon phantom on his shoulder opened slightly, then closed again.
Next came the sound of the stone colliding with the saber, while Xiao An stood in front of Huo Yuhao and instinctively squeezed his eyes shut.
But a moment later, he felt someone stroking his head.
