Seeing Steven return, Chen Shi folded his arms and teased him.
"You're right. Flint really gave me a huge surprise. I never expected his Infernape and Rapidash to be that strong."
"My Metagross was pretty badly injured, so it's still being treated by Nurse Joy!"
Steven nodded and admitted it frankly.
But Chen Shi frowned. "Was Metagross seriously hurt?
"Will it affect your next match?"
The Pokémon World Championships waited for no one. If a Pokémon was too badly injured to compete the next day, that was the competitor's own problem.
Besides, Steven had already won today's match and would advance to the round of sixteen tomorrow. His opponent would probably be strong, too. If Metagross was seriously injured now, it could very well affect tomorrow's match.
Steven shook his head. "It's not that bad."
"Nurse Joy said it just needs a good rest today after treatment. It won't affect tomorrow's match."
"That's a relief!" Chen Shi let out a breath.
Steven suddenly remembered something and said, "You wouldn't believe it, but the Nurse Joy treating my Pokémon actually has an Elite Four Level Blissey."
"That really surprised me."
"Elite Four Level?"
Chen Shi fell silent. The League took these Pokémon World Championships even more seriously than he had imagined. They had actually brought in a Nurse Joy with an Elite Four Level Pokémon to treat their Pokémon.
They really hadn't spared any expense!
"Old Chen, your match should be starting soon, right?"
"So? Do you know how strong your opponent is?"
