After seeing Steven's ridiculous stunt, Chen Shi was truly speechless. He hadn't expected him to still be obsessing over Goomy.
Seriously, did he have to have that Goomy?
He had actually rushed over to make a wish the moment he saw Jirachi. Chen Shi didn't know what to say.
Jirachi was startled by Steven's actions too and immediately burrowed deeper into Chen Shi's arms.
"Chen Shi..."
Chen Shi stroked Jirachi's head helplessly and looked at Steven. "Jirachi can't grant wishes yet, so forget it."
"Besides, don't you already have a Mawile?"
"Stop thinking about Goomy."
When Steven learned that Jirachi couldn't grant wishes yet, disappointment flashed in his eyes, and he sat back down.
After Cynthia had obtained that Goomy, Steven had gone home and looked up information on Hisuian Goomy.
He discovered that Old Chen really hadn't been bragging. Hisuian Goomy was genuinely powerful, and it even had his favorite Steel typing.
How could he not be tempted?
He was so jealous of Cynthia!
Now that he had finally met Jirachi, who could supposedly grant any wish, Steven had lunged straight over to make one, determined not to miss out.
Unfortunately, from what Old Chen said, Jirachi couldn't grant wishes yet.
Steven sighed.
"Easy for you to say. You have no idea how appealing a Hisuian Goomy is to me. How could I not want one?"
"Besides, Mawile is Mawile, and Goomy is Goomy. It's not like I can't afford to raise both!"
"Weren't you the one who said it?"
"Only kids choose. I want them all!"
Chen Shi's face darkened, and he waved a hand. "Fine, fine, say whatever you want. Just leave Jirachi out of it. Jirachi can't grant wishes yet."
"And even if you could make a wish, I wouldn't let you wish for a Goomy."
