Feeling the warmth of the embrace around her, Caitlin slowly opened her eyes. She looked around the unfamiliar place, a little bewildered.
"You're finally awake." Chen Shi took a mouthful of the packed meal he had brought, then pulled another portion from his backpack.
"Now that you're awake, have something to eat."
Hearing his voice, Caitlin came to her senses and looked up, only to find a Charizard staring at her expressionlessly.
She was being held in Charizard's arms.
Once she realized this, Caitlin instinctively unleashed her Psychic power at Charizard.
"Hey! What's wrong with you? We saved you, and this is how you repay us?" Jirachi had been happy to see Caitlin wake up.
But when Jirachi saw her attack Charizard, that happiness turned to anger.
A terrifying surge of Psychic power poured out of Jirachi like an overwhelming tidal wave, blocking Caitlin's attack and restraining her.
Before Caitlin could even process what had happened, she felt the Psychic power she took such pride in being bound and suppressed by a far stronger force with absolute ease.
