Inside the hotel, Chen Shi hurried to find Cynthia.
"Have you seen my Eevee?"
Chen Shi clearly remembered that when he had left with Rayquaza, that little rascal had been hiding behind Cynthia, afraid Rayquaza would come after it.
After returning, Chen Shi had been too busy showing off to pay any attention to Mew.

Chen Shi coughed twice and gave a small nod.
Only after entering did he notice that all of Cynthia's Pokémon were in the room, since it was spacious enough.
They greeted Chen Shi quite naturally when they saw him.
Chen Shi greeted them in turn, then plopped down beside Mew and said through gritted teeth:
"You're certainly living the good life, aren't you?"
"You ate for a whole hour!"
Mew yawned and grinned smugly.
[What's wrong with eating for an hour? You weren't paying anyway. What business is it of yours how much I eat?]
Just as he was about to say more, Cynthia sat down beside him as though it were the most natural thing in the world and linked her arm through his.
