When the Diamond Elder returned with a huge pile of Berries after learning from Mutant Carbink what they had encountered outside,
it saw Chen Shi running ahead with a white Pokémon held aloft, a whole crowd of Carbink following behind him.
"Wh... what's going on?"
"Na-na~"
Mutant Carbink stared blankly at the scene too, not understanding what had happened.
They had only been gone a little while. How had Lord Chen Shi already become so chummy with her fellow Carbink?
After playing for a while, Chen Shi set Togekiss down, panting.
"No more, no more! I'm exhausted!"
"Hehe, Lord Chen Shi, please sit down and rest for a while," the Diamond Elder said with a smile as it approached.
It had learned from Mutant Carbink that Chen Shi had rescued them when they were in danger, then brought them all the way back to the Diamond Kingdom.
Mutant Carbink had even told it that they had encountered Lord Zygarde before returning.
Chen Shi also seemed to know a great deal about Lord Zygarde.
After learning all this, the Diamond Elder felt not only gratitude toward Chen Shi, but respect as well.
Chen Shi wiped the sweat from his forehead and sat down beside Cynthia, then smiled. "Elder, you're back."
"Lord Chen Shi, our accommodations are humble. I hope you won't mind."
As it spoke, several Carbink behind the Diamond Elder came forward carrying trays made of diamond and set them down.
Chen Shi took a look and found only some ordinary Oran Berries arranged on them, though they had all been washed.
He could tell that the Diamond Elder had put care into it.
"Thank you!" Chen Shi thanked it, picked up an Oran Berry, and began eating.
It was juicy-a very fresh Oran Berry.
