Seeing Mew's puzzled expression, Chen Shi found it rather funny. "Did you come here hoping to pick up a few things off them while you had the chance?"
[You even knew that!!!]
Mew's voice shot up an octave as it stared at him in disbelief.
Sure enough, Black-Hearted Meowth was still Black-Hearted Meowth. Whether a thousand years ago or a thousand years later, it was exactly the same damn creature.
Chen Shi silently grumbled to himself, then said, "Never mind how I knew. Just tell me what you came to see me for."
Mew stared unblinkingly at him without saying a word.
Originally, it had simply found this human rather interesting and decided to come tease him.
It hadn't expected him to know so much, which only made it even more interested.
[Can't I come see you without a reason?]
"Say whatever you like. I'm just advising you not to do anything unnecessary," Chen Shi replied flatly.
All the time he'd spent with it had taught him that it was best not to argue with this Black-Hearted Meowth.
The more you argued, the more worked up it got.
A layer of light covered Mew, and it instantly returned to its original form before flying a circle around Chen Shi.
[Hehe~ Don't you feel guilty?]
[This battle only happened because you brought out the Energy Meteorite. Look over there. So many Pokémon and humans have been caught up in it. You caused all of this yourself.]
Chen Shi fell silent for a moment before slowly saying, "Even if I hadn't brought out the Energy Meteorite, this battle would only have been delayed a few days. Those Pokémon and humans would still have been caught up in it."
"Everything happening now was already destined to happen. What good would feeling guilty do?"
