"How is that possible?"
Doctor Carolina immediately shook her head in denial. "This mural is at least a thousand years old. Little Shi only left with Nana two days ago. How could the person in the white robe on this mural possibly be Little Shi?"
Via stood beside her without speaking, but there was a hint of amusement in her eyes.
Clearly, she didn't believe what Jirachi had said either.
Only Cynthia and Diancie believed it.
Because just three days earlier, they had seen the Time-Space Duo send Chen Shi a thousand years into the past with their own eyes.
Diancie gently tugged at Cynthia's clothes, her voice worried. "Cynthia, will Lord Chen Shi be all right?"
"He will, he will. He'll be fine!"
As Cynthia said this, her face was a little pale. She seemed to be reassuring Diancie, but she was also reassuring herself.
Hearing their conversation, Doctor Carolina suddenly had a bad feeling.
She hadn't thought the person in the white robe could be Chen Shi, but Cynthia and these talking Pokémon were reacting far too strangely.
And they seemed convinced that the person on the mural was Chen Shi!
At the thought of that possibility, Doctor Carolina lost her composure.
"What exactly do you mean? Is that person really Little Shi?"
"Where has Little Shi gone now?"
"What on earth did you do in Alamos Town?"
Doctor Carolina fired off a string of questions. After two seconds of silence, Cynthia slowly spoke.
"Grandma, we met the Time-Space Duo at the Space-Time Tower in Alamos Town. They sent Chen Shi a thousand years into the past."
"What?!"
Doctor Carolina's voice shot up an octave. She turned to look at Chen Shi on the mural, missing an arm, and staggered.
Via and Cynthia hurried forward to steady her.
