The train slowly came to a stop. Chen Shi and his two companions followed the crowd out of the station, with Leon trailing behind them, his expression grave and his thoughts a mystery.
Chen Shi left him alone. He had said everything he needed to say; whether Leon believed him was up to Leon.
"Old Chen, are we heading straight into the forest to find those Max Mushrooms or whatever?" Steven gazed at the distant forest, eager to get going.
"Sure. Let's find the Max Mushrooms first, then spend a few days having fun in Stow-on-Side," Chen Shi replied after a moment's thought.
"Should we get something to eat first?" Steven asked, pointing at a small restaurant in the distance.
"Nah." Chen Shi smiled. "I've got plenty of food in my backpack. Why don't we just have a picnic in the forest?"
"A picnic?" Steven's eyes lit up. "Great, let's have a picnic!"
Cynthia had no objections to their decision, while Leon was still lost in thought.
So Chen Shi immediately used Teleport to take the four of them into the forest.
The four of them suddenly appeared beneath a waterfall just over three meters high.
After looking around, Chen Shi nodded in satisfaction. "This is a nice spot. How about we stay here?"
"You really know how to pick a place," Steven said with a touch of admiration as he surveyed their surroundings.
Although it couldn't compare to the Back Mountain behind Chen Shi's home, it still had hills, water, and beautiful scenery.
Without further ado, Chen Shi opened all his Poké Balls, then took some bottles and jars out of his backpack, followed by a large bundle of barbecue skewers he had prepared in advance.
Finally, Chen Shi even pulled a barbecue grill out of his tiny backpack.
