As evening drew on, Cheng Tian and Bai Yun finished dinner and returned to the classroom together for lessons.
They had been assigned to the same classroom for the week, and their teacher was a renowned Pokémon geneticist who held the rank of professor outside the camp as well.
Now, this kindly, bald old gentleman was dozing at the front of the classroom while the students below quietly worked on their questions.
"Grr... grrr..." Cheng Tian had been pondering a genetics question, but before he could figure out why Garchomp could not inherit Dragon Dance, his stomach began making a racket.
"Hiss! Oh, no." Cheng Tian knitted his brows. It seemed he had eaten something that upset his stomach!
That made no sense. He had not eaten anything raw or cold today, so why had his stomach suddenly started acting up?
He turned to look at Bai Yun ahead and to his left. They had eaten dinner together, and now Bai Yun also looked as though his stomach hurt, gazing at Cheng Tian as if seeking help.
Well, great. They had eaten together and upset their stomachs together, too.
Cheng Tian took a roll of toilet paper out of his desk compartment and waved it. Bai Yun nodded, so Cheng Tian rose and walked toward the teacher's desk, with Bai Yun following close behind.
They explained the situation to their teacher. Fortunately, he was an amiable man and waved them off to the restroom.
Cheng Tian and Bai Yun hurried to the door and gently closed it behind them. The old professor at the front gave a bored yawn, then slumped over his desk and fell asleep again. Just after he fell asleep, however, the phone on his desk lit up with a mass notification.
