The glass door was shoved open, and Frogadier charged in first, Water Pulse spinning in its hands, ready to release it the moment an enemy appeared.
"Froak, froak!"
Cheng Tian followed close behind and shouted, "Bai Yun! Where are you?!"
The eerie exit sign glowed green. Cheng Tian's voice echoed through the empty corridor, but apart from that, there was not a sound. The silence made his skin crawl.
The lobby was spacious, with two corridors at the far end extending left and right. Someone had hung a portrait of a nun on the wall, her strange smile looking utterly unnerving.
Cheng Tian did not keep shouting. It would get him nowhere. This place was incredibly strange. When he had strolled through the Training Camp with Su Han earlier, he had memorized every building, but this building alone was absent from his memory.
Had it appeared out of thin air?! How was that possible?!
Only green lights illuminated the silent, eerie corridor. The four Pokémon surrounded Cheng Tian to keep him safe.
Tap, tap, tap... Just then, footsteps suddenly sounded upstairs, as though someone were running.
Was that Bai Yun?
Just as Cheng Tian was about to react, a figure flashed across the corridor ahead at incredible speed. In the final instant before the figure disappeared, however, Cheng Tian caught sight of her back.
"Han?!"
Now Cheng Tian could no longer stay calm. The person who had just run past was unmistakably Su Han! There was no way he would mistake her back!
"Han!" Cheng Tian shouted and was about to step forward when Frogadier immediately blocked him.
Only then did Cheng Tian come to his senses. The building he was in was extremely strange, and what he had seen was not necessarily Su Han.
"Heh heh heh..."
