To be honest, this was Cheng Tian's first time seeing Zapdos from so close.
As the two of them fell with their arms wrapped around each other, Cheng Tian's head pointed downward, giving him a clear view of the plane still flying only a hundred meters or so above them. The huge bird with its bristling feathers looked truly terrifying. It charged straight at the plane, which instantly erupted in a terrible explosion.
By then, however, they had already fallen another three hundred meters or so from where they had been. The plane's explosion was like a brilliant burst of fireworks in the sky, lighting up the dark sea below. Zapdos seemed completely unconcerned. It flapped its wings, circled a few times, then flew away.
Cheng Tian and Su Han clung tightly to each other, neither willing to let go. Su Han tried to reach for the Great Ball at her waist, but the moment she loosened her grip, the fierce wind nearly swept her away.
Cheng Tian was strong enough to hold Su Han tightly with one arm while using his other hand to unclip the Heal Ball at his waist. The movement looked incredibly difficult. They kept plummeting at tremendous speed, yet he still could not get the ball off.
Falling alongside them were metal fragments from the exploded plane. Several times, Cheng Tian nearly let Su Han get swept away, but each time, he held on to her.
Their hair was blown into utter disarray. In these conditions, even with their arms wrapped tightly around each other, they could not possibly hear each other's voices. Just like that, the two of them fell toward the sea in each other's embrace.
Splash...
An enormous spray of water rose into the air. A moment later, a figure gradually emerged.
