The Poison Swamp was flowing!
Within the underground cavern, the expanding marsh gas triggered a massive explosion. The confined space only amplified its power, and the blast wreaked destruction from the inside out, causing Fakola Island to collapse from within. The entire island was on the verge of breaking apart!
Even with help from Yong, the others, and their many Pokémon, they could only slow the destruction, while the force behind the next wave continued to build...
Along the coast, Cynthia and Professor Lysandre each led a group of Water-type Pokémon and others that could swim, including a few capable of using Psychic-type moves, to help evacuate the crowd. Their destination was a piece of land torn away from the island's edge.
Under the Pokémon's protection, it barely withstood the pounding seawater, giving everyone somewhere to stand.
The original beach, meanwhile, was now engulfed in the dense Poison Swamp. Through the haze, they could just make out the members of the Black Yi House Clan who had fallen in the toxic cloud.
But this patch of land would not hold out for long.
Surrounded by enormous waves, it had survived this long only because of the Pokémon's power. Their rapidly draining stamina was undoubtedly a concern for everyone.
Cynthia stood at the edge of the land. At the very front, protecting them all, was her Milotic!
Taking advantage of its ability to fly, Garchomp led a group of Flying-type Pokémon, continually whittling down the waves with Air Slash...
But everyone knew that giant waves would keep gathering strength. Once a tsunami formed, how could this tiny patch of land possibly escape?
