Holding Larvesta in his arms, Yong walked alone along the snow-covered road. Every so often, passing pedestrians or Trainers came up to ask whether Larvesta was for sale or trade.
The constant questions were irritating.
He was already feeling miserable after his experience at the Longevity Gym, and this only made his mood worse.
Fortunately, baby Larvesta was adorable. Looking at the little one in his arms helped lift Yong's spirits a little.
As a newly hatched Pokémon, Larvesta shouldn't spend too long inside a Poké Ball. He needed to come out for some fresh air now and then. Besides, the warmth naturally radiating from his body made him feel like a little hand warmer!

Yong hadn't found any Fire Stones for sale at the Pokémon shop in Longevity Town. Presumably, the town was simply too small to stock resources like that.
With no other choice, he could only try Fallarbor Town up ahead. He had heard there were plenty of active mines there, where many fossils had been discovered. Perhaps they had Fire Stones too?
If he still couldn't find any, he would have to ask his dad for help.
As he traveled farther from Longevity Town, the snowy weather gradually eased. Only scattered snowflakes drifted down, and the cold front had already passed.
Yong was now on Fallabor Plain.
Many shrubs grew across the plain. These plants were highly resistant to cold and frost, making them well suited to the northern climate.
The plain was vast, and the mountains to the north gradually disappeared, leaving a wide-open view. There was no need to worry about sudden ambushes from wild Pokémon like those on the wasteland earlier. He could travel with peace of mind.
