Drifblim swiftly floated upward, its four ribbons dancing around it like nimble arms as they slammed into Larvitar one after another!
Yong watched Larvitar and Drifblim draw closer, his gaze following both Pokémon. At last, he spoke.
"Now! Payback!"
"Lar!"
After weathering the first attack, Larvitar seized one of its opponent's ribbons and used it to haul itself onto Drifblim's huge head!
Fantina's expression changed.
On its head... the ribbons couldn't reach there...
The next second, the little Pokémon flashed a toothy grin. Dark brown energy coiled around its claw as it smashed down hard on Drifblim's head!
Bam!!!
"Wooo!!!"
Payback! A charged attack! When used after the opponent attacked, its power doubled!
Most importantly, it was a Dark-type move!
The blast of energy brought tremendous pain, making Drifblim wobble as it drifted down from the air!
Yong said softly,
"Get away from it, Larvitar!"
Since he couldn't knock out his opponent in a single blow, Yong had to remain wary of a possible Destiny Bond at all times...
Hearing his command, Larvitar jumped off Drifblim's head and landed on the ground.
Watching its opponent drift unsteadily downward, Yong seized the opportunity.
"Larvitar! Rock Slide!"
"Lar!"
The little Pokémon raised its arms, and Rock-type energy stirred. Large rocks wrapped in brown energy rose from the ground and hurtled toward the descending Drifblim!
This was a standard battlefield, with a surface made of rock, so Larvitar didn't need to expend extra energy creating rocks to use its Rock-type moves.
As the mass of rocks barreled toward them, Fantina raised a hand with a smile.
"You underestimate us~ Ohoho~ Baron! Minimize!"
"Wooo~~!"
Before their eyes, Drifblim's round body suddenly shrank! A gentle breeze curled around it as it danced through the air, evading every rock with perfect precision!
"That's it!"
