When Yong woke up, his head felt groggy. It took him quite a while to come to his senses.
"I remember having some strange dream?"
He sat on the bed and tried to recall it, but he simply couldn't remember anything he had seen in the dream. Yong decisively gave up.
Today, he had something more important to do!
An eager smile appeared on the boy's face. He quickly washed up, got dressed, packed his things into his backpack, and ran out of his room.
There was an enormous grassy field behind the research institute!
When Yong arrived, Professor Carolina and Cynthia were standing beside a pond at the edge of the field, feeding Pokémon Food to the Pokémon gathered around them.
There was a group of Shellos, several Wooper and Marill, and even two Feebas that had surfaced in the pond!
Yong walked over and said a little sheepishly,
"Good morning! Professor Carolina, Cynthia, sorry for the wait..."
"We only just got here ourselves. We stopped by to see these little ones."
Professor Carolina smiled kindly. Beside her, Cynthia fed the rest of the food in her hands to the Pokémon, then looked at Yong. Her cool expression seemed to shift into battle mode in an instant, and her voice brimmed with confidence.
"Are you ready? I won't be holding back, Yong! This time, I won't lose to you again!"
Cynthia's commanding manner only made Yong more eager. He smiled and nodded.
"Then let's both give this battle everything we've got!"
Professor Carolina said with a beaming smile,
"You youngsters really are full of energy! In that case... why not let this old lady witness your battle?"
Of course... no problem!
The three of them headed back to the enormous grassy field in the Central Area.
