Hearing the command, Marshtomp reacted immediately, slamming its powerful forearms into the ground. As Ground-type energy rippled outward, the entire battlefield began to shake violently!

George remained completely unruffled and calmly gave his command.

Lightning enveloped Electrike, making its fur stand on end. It leaped swiftly, using the protruding rocks as footholds as it kept jumping forward.
Its uncanny rhythm aligned perfectly with each tremor of Earthquake, leaving it entirely unaffected.
Yong watched in amazement. As expected of an elite Gym trainer! He really hadn't anticipated a technique like this!
George smiled faintly.
Since this was the Electric Gym, most challengers brought Ground-types and Rock-types. To better test their abilities, the Gym's trainers had developed numerous specialized techniques to evade powerful Ground-type moves.
Point-Position Jump was designed to counter Earthquake. It demanded keen perception and fast reactions from a Pokémon-both things Electrike excelled at!
Electrike stimulated its muscles with the electricity stored in its fur, increasing its explosive bursts of power. When it started running, it made crackling sounds. It could run faster than the eye could follow and was a Pokémon that took pride in its speed.
"Keep closing in! Speed up with Quick Attack! Use Ice Fang!"
At the command, Electrike's speed increased dramatically once more. It bounded back and forth between the rocks as though teleporting.
