The instant the Stun Spore and Poison Powder touched Larvesta, the flames coating its body burned them away completely!
That was right! Flame Charge had never been intended as an attack this time! It was meant to defend against the opponent's powder attacks.
There was nothing a good fire couldn't burn away...
Watching Larvesta close in rapidly, Sif hastily shouted,
"Venusaur! Quick, stop it with Solar Beam!"
"Venu!!!"
Venusaur opened its huge mouth and roared.
The enormous flower on Venusaur's back tilted slightly forward. Brilliant golden-green energy erupted, blasting out in an instant!
At the sight, Yong grinned.
"Time to test that little trick from our special training... Larvesta! Control your silk! Swing yourself over and dodge Solar Beam!"
An astonishing scene unfolded.
As Larvesta sped through the air, it spat another strand of silk onto the grass below. The new tug instantly swung the little Pokémon downward. Just before reaching the ground, it severed that strand itself. Like a child on a swing, Larvesta swept through an arc, then hurtled toward Venusaur's back again, pulled along by the first strand!
It successfully dodged the opponent's Solar Beam.
Sif's expression changed again.
By then, Larvesta had already landed lightly on Venusaur's back, clinging to the huge plant's "trunk"!
The foreign presence and the scorching flames made Venusaur thrash about on the ground in distress.
