"With Anabel having lost three Pokémon, the match will now enter its halftime break! Switch fields!"
At the referee's announcement, Anabel recalled Lucario, looking a little dejected.
Yong recalled Tyranitar as well. The two walked to one side of the ruins, looking at the shattered field that no longer bore the slightest resemblance to an Ice Field. Suddenly, Anabel's spirits lifted again.
"Tsk, tsk... I've figured it out. Whenever you're in a match, the field never survives intact!"
Yong smiled awkwardly, scratched his head, and muttered,
"That's not true! Didn't they say they'd upgraded the field? Why is it still so fragile?"
"Ugh..."
Anabel gave the boy beside her a look of disdain, then pursed her lips and said,
"I know Tyranitar is strong. You don't have to praise it in front of me!"
Yong laughed it off, watching the images flash rapidly across the screen.
"Ah... looks like I don't stand a chance..."
Anabel sighed, then glared at Yong.
"But don't think you'll win the championship that easily! I'll do everything I can to stop you!"
Watching the girl turn and head toward the new field, Yong rubbed his nose...
Why did it feel like I'd become the villain?
The boy shook his head helplessly, glanced at the information on the screen, and headed toward the field as well.
The announcer's voice rang out through the stadium.
"It's the Water Field! This puts Yong, who excels at using Rock- and Ground-type Pokémon, at something of a disadvantage!"
"The second half of the match is starting! Anabel has now lost three Pokémon, while Yong has lost two! The gap between our two competitors isn't large! But judging by the current situation, Yong has tremendous momentum! How will Anabel fight back in the second half?"
