Devon Corporation's Headquarters Building had been expanded.
Although it still stood in the western district of Rustboro City, right next to the industrial park, its grounds had grown considerably.
Outside the silver-gray, C-shaped building lay an enormous plaza.
The car carrying the group drove straight in.
Led by a Devon Corporation representative, they took the elevator directly to the President's Office on one of the middle floors.
Steven was not alone in the President's Office. When Yong and Cynthia walked in, they happened to see Elite Four member Drake picking through a pile of stones, carefully trying to identify something.
The moment he saw Yong approach, the old captain stood up with several round stones in his hands and said eagerly,
"You're finally here, Yong! Come, come! Help me check whether any of these stones will work for Salamence!"
"Uh..."
Yong smiled helplessly, stepped forward, and examined the stones in Drake's hands before saying with a smile,
"These two are ordinary stones... This one should be a Key Stone, just a more primitive one. This one is indeed a Mega Stone..."
The boy held one of the stones and studied it closely.
