Ch. 423Catching Roggenrola! Back to Sinnoh!

Yong recruited Roggenrola after defeating it with Excadrill, then left Unova for Sinnoh with a gift for Larvesta. Caitlin watched his departure and became curious about his involvement with the Enjo Clan’s Fire Ritual.

  • Yong battled Roggenrola with Excadrill, whose overwhelming strength defeated it, and Roggenrola agreed to become his partner.
  • Yong checked Roggenrola’s details, then returned it to its Pokémon Ball and headed back to the villa.
  • Yong declined Enjo Norio and Norika’s invitation to stay longer and traveled to Nimbasa City with Huchen and Ahe to board an airship.
  • Ahe gave Yong a spatial pouch for Larvesta, and Yong said goodbye to Huchen and Ahe before departing for Sinnoh.
  • Caitlin saw Yong leave with Huchen and Ahe, learned that the clans had held the Fire Ritual, and decided to seek him out.

Ch. 424The Global Wonder Exchange Center!

Yong arrived in Jubilife City, explored its busy streets, and sent Roggenrola and souvenirs home. After entering the Pokémon Center, he was approached by a formally dressed man who recognized him.

  • Cynthia waited at a café for Caitlin and Darach, thinking about an unusual form of evolution that might help Garchomp surpass its limits.
  • Caitlin arrived without Darach and explained that she had sent him to invite a Hoenn Trainer with ties to the Enjo Clan to challenge the Battle Chateau.
  • Yong arrived in Jubilife City by airship and wandered through the city, sampling local food and buying souvenirs.
  • Yong sent Roggenrola home through the trade transfer system, spoke with his parents, and mailed them his souvenirs.
  • A man in a black suit approached Yong at the Pokémon Center and asked if he was Mr. Yong.

Ch. 425Meeting again!

Darach invited Yong to challenge the Sinnoh Battle Frontier, and Yong agreed to visit the Battle Zone after training on Iron Island. Over lunch with Darach, Caitlin, and Cynthia, Yong explained that his Swampert’s unusual evolution came from their bond, leaving the others to consider how that phenomenon worked.

  • Darach introduced himself to Yong as the Battle Chateau’s butler and invited him to challenge the Battle Frontier.
  • Yong accepted the invitation and said he would head to the Battle Zone after taking care of his other business and training on Iron Island.
  • Caitlin and Cynthia arrived at the Pokémon Center and joined Yong and Darach for lunch.
  • Yong told Caitlin that his Steelix beat Cynthia’s Garchomp only after Garchomp had recently evolved and had not mastered its power.
  • Yong explained that he called Swampert’s transformation the bond phenomenon and believed it arose from the connection between trainer and Pokémon.

Ch. 426Information revealed ahead of time!

Yong told Cynthia, Caitlin, and Darach about the Lustrous Orb, Adamant Orb, and Griseous Orb, and how they could be used to summon Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina. Cynthia planned to investigate the clues with her grandmother, while Caitlin suspected Yong was deliberately revealing more than he let on.

  • Caitlin asked Yong about his plans, and he said he would continue challenging Gyms before training on Iron Island.
  • Yong and Cynthia discussed Sinnoh mythology and her search for traces of Dialga and Palkia.
  • Yong told Cynthia that the Lustrous Orb and Adamant Orb were linked to Palkia and Dialga and could summon them at the legendary altar of time and space.
  • Yong added that the Griseous Orb was associated with Giratina, and Cynthia decided to investigate all three orbs with her grandmother.
  • Cynthia, Caitlin, and Darach said goodbye to Yong, and Darach looked forward to seeing him in the Battle Zone.
  • After leaving, Caitlin suspected Yong knew too much, while Cynthia said his care for Pokémon made her trust him.

Ch. 427Iron Island!

Yong traveled from Jubilife City to Canalave City and sailed overnight to Iron Island, eager to train there. He arrived at dawn and left the other passengers to enter the island alone.

  • Darach gave Yong two addresses, and Yong prepared a team of Steel-types, Pupitar, and Aerodactyl before leaving Jubilife City.
  • Yong flew to Canalave City, learned the last boat to Iron Island would leave in two hours, and bought a ticket.
  • Yong boarded the passenger boat and spent the overnight voyage feeding Bastiodon and Pupitar while the ship sailed north.
  • The chapter described Iron Island's mineral-rich mountains, wild Pokémon, unusual magnetic field, and ongoing conflict between Magnemite and Onix.
  • Yong arrived at Iron Island at dawn, parted from the other passengers, and strode into the island.

Ch. 428Make way!

Yong and Steelix forced Magnezone’s colony to make way on Iron Island, then secured a temporary home with the Onix colony. Yong gathered his Pokémon there for their final special training session for the time being.

  • Magnezone and his Pokémon confronted Yong as he approached Iron Island, while the Onix leader descended from the opposite mountain.
  • Yong summoned Steelix, whose overwhelming presence subdued Magnezone and forced the Magnemite and Nosepass to leave.
  • Yong asked the Onix leader for a place to stay, and Onix led them to a mountain hollow on the copper range.
  • Yong soothed the wary wild Pokémon with food and explained that he and Steelix would stay only temporarily.
  • Yong released Aggron, Aerodactyl, Bastiodon, Excadrill, and Pupitar, then announced their last special training session for the time being and ordered Big White to master a complete Force Domain.

Ch. 429The strange Magnezone!

Yong took his Pokémon to Iron Island’s magnetic storm area, hoping to strengthen Steelix and the others, but Magnezone attacked when he asked to borrow the territory. Yong suspected Magnezone had been placed there to guard the area, and the confrontation escalated into a battle as Aggron faced Magnezone’s Flash Cannon.

  • Yong arranged training around Iron Island’s mineral veins and magnetic field, prioritizing Steelix’s Steel-type energy and Fusion Technique.
  • Yong approached Magnezone’s territory with Steelix, Aggron, and Excadrill and offered to help Magnezone in exchange for temporary access to the magnetic storm area.
  • Magnezone rejected Yong’s request and struck at him with lightning, which Aggron blocked.
  • Yong realized Magnezone’s aggression seemed unnatural and suspected someone had left it there to guard the magnetic storm area.
  • Yong ordered Aggron to use Hyper Beam, but Magnezone dodged and retaliated with Flash Cannon while Aggron was momentarily immobilized.

Ch. 430The vanished Aura Guardian!

Yong defeated Magnezone and reached the Magnetic Storm Area, where Lucario revealed that Riley and Thunder had disappeared into the storm’s core. Believing Riley was still alive, Yong invited Lucario to go with him.

  • Aggron used Rock Tomb and High Horsepower to defeat Magnezone, which Magneton carried away.
  • Yong led his Pokémon deeper into Iron Ore Mountain, where Steelix sensed the Magnetic Storm Area and guided the group north.
  • Yong encountered Lucario and several Pokémon guarding a cabin along the route, and Lucario used aura to order him to leave.
  • Yong learned that Riley had ordered the Pokémon to guard the dangerous area and suspected their master was Riley.
  • Lucario said Riley and Thunder had disappeared into the magnetic storm’s core, but its aura told it that Riley was still alive.
  • Yong invited Lucario to come with him.

Ch. 431The ideal training ground!

Yong led his Pokémon into the magnetic storm zone, where Steelix and Aggron learned to use the unusual conditions while Bastiodon and Excadrill began training near their limits. After learning that Lucario’s master disappeared during a thunderstorm, Yong decided to approach the core and investigate further.

  • Yong discovered that the magnetic field let Steelix use Magnet Rise easily, helped Aggron learn Thunder Wave, and helped Bastiodon learn Thunderbolt.
  • Lucario showed Yong where its master had disappeared and said the weather at the time had been a thunderstorm.
  • Yong told Bastiodon to practice Shock Wave and Thunderbolt and trained Excadrill to develop its speed and striking power against the zone’s strong pull.
  • Lucario began meditating while Yong took Steelix and Aggron farther toward the core.

Ch. 432Mega Steelix!

Yong and Steelix challenged the crushing gravity in the Central Area, then used their Key Stone and Mega Stone to trigger Steelix’s first Mega Evolution. Mega Steelix emerged with primal markings, began absorbing natural energy, and reached level 55 after comprehending steel origin.

  • Yong, Steelix, and Aggron reached an invisible barrier of extreme gravity that they could not cross.
  • Steelix struck the barrier with its tail, but the force rebounded, and Yong admitted they were not strong enough to pass.
  • Yong urged Steelix to keep pushing its limits, then revealed his Key Stone and Steelix’s Mega Stone.
  • Yong called for Steelix to Mega Evolve, and the linked energies transformed it into Mega Steelix before Aggron.
  • The system announced that Mega Steelix had begun absorbing natural energy, activated its primal markings, comprehended steel origin, reached level 55, and learned beginner Flash Cannon.

Ch. 433Breaking Through the Core Barrier!

Yong and Mega Steelix broke through the magnetic field zone’s central barrier and survived the resulting electromagnetic storm. After Steelix kept its new power and markings when its Mega Evolution ended, Yong let Aggron begin absorbing the silver-white substance, but Aggron’s armor cracked as soon as it swallowed a piece.

  • Yong ordered Mega Steelix to use Iron Tail, and it shattered the central barrier.
  • Yong directed Mega Steelix to strike the storm’s center with Heavy Slam, triggering a violent electromagnetic upheaval that swept nearby Pokémon away while Aggron protected him.
  • The storm subsided, leaving the core area clear, and Steelix returned to its original form while retaining its new power and permanent dark gold markings.
  • Yong asked Steelix to retrieve the floating substances and told Aggron it could absorb them, starting with a small piece.
  • Aggron swallowed the silver-white substance, and cracks appeared in its armor.

Ch. 434Progress!

Yong watched Aggron use the mysterious substance to strengthen its energy field and begin forming a Force Domain, while Steelix entered the light to pursue its own growth. Days later, Aggron’s field had grown powerful, but Lucario remained meditating and the lack of thunderstorms continued to frustrate Yong.

  • Aggron absorbed the mysterious substance, strengthened its armor, and began forming a metallic Force Domain under Yong’s guidance.
  • Yong encouraged Steelix to draw on its post-evolution improvements, and Steelix floated into the silver light and fell into a still state.
  • At Iron Island, Pupitar defeated Sandslash in a training battle before Yong arrived on Aerodactyl and called the Pokémon over to eat.
  • Yong visited the Magnetic Storm Area, where Lucario remained meditating and Aggron continued absorbing the substance at a slower pace.
  • Yong sensed that Aggron’s increasingly solid energy field restrained nearby Pokémon and expected it to build a Force Domain soon.

Ch. 435Professor Carolina!

Cynthia returned to Celestic Town and asked Professor Carolina about the Lustrous Orb and Adamant Orb after Yong mentioned their connection to Sinnoh's Legendary Pokémon. Carolina explained that eleven years earlier Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina had appeared together to suppress a mysterious being, but she did not yet reveal what it was.

  • Yong left the sealed core area and encouraged Pupitar to prepare for training in the Magnetic Storm Area.
  • Cynthia returned to Celestic Town and visited Professor Carolina at the historical research institute.
  • Cynthia reunited with Roserade and told Carolina about her recent events, including Yong's words about the orbs.
  • Carolina recalled the space-time disorder of eleven years ago and said Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina had appeared together at the Space-Time Tower.
  • Carolina revealed that the three Legendary Pokémon had been suppressing a certain being.

Ch. 436Thunderstorm! Runes! Stone chamber!

Professor Carolina revealed the Lustrous Orb as Yong and Lucario entered the thunderstorm’s strange transfer zone and vanished. They arrived in a stone chamber where Riley recognized them and tended to the unconscious pair, leaving the chapter with him keeping watch.

  • Professor Carolina retrieved the Lustrous Orb from the institute’s safe and hinted that Cynthia might discover what it was connected to.
  • Yong and Lucario waited for the thunderstorm at the place where Riley had disappeared, as the Magnetic Storm Area grew increasingly chaotic.
  • A silver triangular structure rose from the scorched earth, and lightning activated mysterious runes that transported Yong and Lucario away.
  • Riley heard Metang report their arrival and found Yong and Lucario unconscious beside the transfer structure.
  • Riley had Metang fetch water and Shelgon move the newcomers out of the transfer zone, then watched over them.

Ch. 437Riley and Snowpoint Temple!

Yong awoke in a cavern with Riley and learned that the silver triangle had transported them from Iron Island to a hidden place in northern Sinnoh. Riley identified it as Snowpoint Temple and revealed that he was descended from the people of Hisui, who worshipped Regigigas.

  • Yong woke beside a Shelgon and met Riley, who thanked him for helping Lucario.
  • Riley showed Yong his notes on the creation myth, the lake legends, and a map linking Lake Valor, Lake Acuity, and Lake Verity around Mt. Coronet.
  • Riley explained that thunderstorms powered the silver triangle’s transfers, but they had not gathered enough energy to send him and Yong back to Iron Island.
  • Riley led Yong to a cavern containing statues of Regirock, Regice, and Registeel, along with his Nosepass and Metang.
  • Riley concluded they were in Snowpoint Temple and told Yong he was a descendant of the people of Hisui, who worshipped Regigigas.

Ch. 438Unable to Leave!?

Yong and Riley found themselves trapped in Snowpoint Temple, where they believed awakening Regigigas might be their only way out. As they trained their Pokémon and studied the temple’s inscriptions, the silvery device on Iron Island began to contract and an ancient presence stirred.

  • Yong and Riley discussed how the triangular device had transported them to Snowpoint Temple and concluded that the Legendary Titans might have brought them there to awaken Regigigas.
  • Riley warned that without the key to Regigigas’s resting place, their Pokémon might not be strong enough to escape, and Yong remembered that Darkrai was sleeping in his shadow.
  • Yong sent Pupitar and Aerodactyl to train near the Regirock statue while Riley led him to a chamber where they could rest and study the temple’s inscriptions.
  • Yong helped Riley copy the ancient writing as the storm over Iron Island subsided and the silvery device began contracting, signaling that the sleeping behemoth was awakening.

Ch. 439Sabi! The Diamond Clan!

Adaman tried to bring Sabi back from Snowpoint Temple’s lower levels as tremors grew stronger, while Yong remained trapped and searched for a way out. Sabi reached the third level, where she and Braviary encountered an icy Onix and Magmar struck it with Fire Punch.

  • Adaman found Sabi in Snowpoint Temple and told her she was too young to take on assignments.
  • After learning the temple’s tremors had grown stronger, Adaman discovered Sabi had gone down to the next level and hurried after her.
  • Yong tried and failed to reach Darkrai, then worried about being trapped in the sealed caverns while Pupitar and Aerodactyl meditated.
  • Sabi explored the temple’s third level with Braviary and wondered where the entrance to the fourth level was.
  • An icy Onix burst through a wall and attacked Sabi, but she sent out Magmar, whose Fire Punch slammed into Onix.

Ch. 440Sabi on the offensive!

Sabi fought her way through Snowpoint Temple and accidentally opened the passage to the Sixth Floor, while Yong and Riley considered disrupting the statues’ energy balance to awaken the Legendary Titans. The statues changed on their own, leaving Yong and Riley to retreat cautiously.

  • Sabi ordered Magmar to defeat Onix, then continued deeper into Snowpoint Temple with her Pokémon.
  • Yong and Riley found no hidden exit and discussed using the three statues’ balanced energies to awaken the Legendary Titans or another powerful being.
  • Adaman hurried through the temple with Vaporeon to catch Sabi before she disturbed what was sleeping there.
  • Sabi defeated a Sneasel with Magmar and discovered a stone door marked by brown, silver-gray, and ice-blue blocks.
  • Sabi pressed the blocks in the correct order, opening the passage to the Sixth Floor, while the statues changed before Yong and Riley.

Ch. 441An unexpected turn!

The statues of Regirock, Regice, and Registeel formed a triangle around a pillar bearing an image of Regigigas, and Riley sensed the Titans’ unstable energy flowing into it. Meanwhile, Sabi battled the three Titans manifested before her on the Sixth Floor, and they began gathering energy again.

  • The Three Statues shifted into a triangle as an Elliptical Stone Pillar bearing a design of Regigigas emerged from the ground.
  • Riley and Lucario used their aura to examine the pillar, and Riley discovered the energy inside the statues was unstable and flowing into it.
  • Yong and Riley gathered supplies and ordered Pupitar, Aerodactyl, Lucario, and Shelgon to guard the Cave while they returned to the Stone Chamber.
  • Adaman felt the tremors on the Fifth Floor, wondered whether Sabi had caused them, and went toward the icy Stone Chamber with Vaporeon and Mew.
  • Sabi encountered energy-manifested Regirock, Regice, and Registeel on the Sixth Floor and ordered Electabuzz, Rhydon, and Magmar to fight them.
  • Sabi’s Pokémon struck the Titans, but Registeel, Regice, and Regirock gathered energy and prepared to continue the battle.

Ch. 442Awakening! Regigigas!

Sabi and her Pokémon destroyed the three energy constructs guarding the chamber, triggering the release of the sealed giant. Yong and Riley discovered that the being emerging from the cave was Regigigas, just as Sabi burst through a second collapsing wall.

  • Sabi ordered Rhydon, Electabuzz, and Magmar to defeat the Regice, Registeel, and Regirock energy constructs, and the attacks destroyed them.
  • The sealed stone wall collapsed as the mountain shook, while energy from the three statues flowed into the oval stone pillar.
  • The statues shattered in a burst of light that knocked Yong, Riley, and their Pokémon to the ground.
  • Regigigas broke through the cave walls and emerged from the darkness, and Yong recognized it as the king of the Legendary Titans.
  • A wall on the other side of the cave collapsed, and Sabi ran through it with her Pokémon after someone shouted for her to stop.
