Zhu Zhuqing activated Martial Soul Possession.

A pair of small, furry ears immediately appeared, followed by a languid little white tiger behind her. The little white tiger had been lying down with its eyes narrowed.

For some reason, it suddenly stood up, its narrowed eyes slowly opening.

A mysterious aura spread from Zhu Zhuqing.

That aura affected the Lightning Wind Tiger facing her, immediately making it restless.

"Roar-"

The Lightning Wind Tiger looked around in confusion, but sensed nothing.

Finally, it fixed its gaze on the short human girl standing before it. From her, it sensed a trace of fear rising from deep within its heart.

"Sis, let's split up. Attack it from the left, and I'll attack from the right. Keep an eye on its head, and make sure you're fast!"

As soon as she finished speaking, Zhu Zhuqing charged forward alone.

"Hey, don't! We're not as fast as it!" Zhu Zhulin despaired. She had wanted her little sister to escape in the first place. What on earth was happening now?

Was she the older sister, or was the tiny Zhu Zhuqing ahead of her the older sister?

"First Soul Skill: Hell Stab!"

Zhu Zhulin hesitated no longer. She immediately unleashed the first Soul Skill she had been preparing, shooting forward like a sharp sword as she turned into a streak of purple light.

She clutched the sharp dagger in her right hand, aiming for the Lightning Wind Tiger's belly.

Meanwhile, Zhu Zhuqing abruptly dropped into a slide along the ground mid-charge. Her target was also the Lightning Wind Tiger's belly, since it was the softest part and the easiest place to pierce its defenses.

"Roar-"

The Lightning Wind Tiger was furious. Did they really look down on it that much? These two human ants were clearly nothing more than its breakfast, yet they dared to attack it. They were courting death!

It turned into a streak of blue light and charged at the figure on the left, its paw already raised high. In its mind, this little runt posed a far greater threat than the taller girl who had activated two Soul Rings.

Zhu Zhuqing suddenly flipped over while sliding. This was the Spirit Cat Roll, a yoga movement.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh-"

Three purple arrows shot in succession toward the spot where Zhu Zhuqing had been sliding.

Zhu Zhuyun! Zhu Zhuqing roared inwardly. If she had not cultivated her mental power and sharpened her senses, she really would have died today.

Most likely, the arrows would have pinned her down first, and then the Lightning Wind Tiger would have slapped her dead.

She would have died a bitterly humiliating death, without a sound.

Those purple arrows swiftly dissolved into soul power and vanished, leaving not a scrap of evidence. It was utterly vicious.

But the Lightning Wind Tiger was furious too. It had been about to hit the little runt, only for its paw to strike empty air. How could it possibly be pleased?

"Roar-"

The Lightning Wind Tiger stared fixedly at the treetop ahead and let out a venomous roar.

Then it swiped its paw to the right, directly toward Zhu Zhulin's sliding path. But the swipe missed. Zhu Zhulin rolled straight beneath the Lightning Wind Tiger's belly.

Just as her dagger was about to plunge in, the Lightning Wind Tiger moved away.

Zhu Zhuqing was in a bind. With Zhu Zhuyun harassing them from afar and the Lightning Wind Tiger close at hand, she and her third sister had no way to kill it.

The Lightning Wind Tiger was now on its guard. It already believed other humans were lying in ambush. Unless something unexpected happened, it would flee.

Ding! The destiny system has sensed the host's unwillingness to submit to fate and hereby issues the following missions. Option one: Ignore Zhu Zhuyun's attacks from behind and pursue the Lightning Wind Tiger with your older sister, Zhu Zhulin. Mission completion reward: one sharp Dragon Spring Dagger forged from heavenly meteorite iron. Option two: Send Zhu Zhulin away and face the Lightning Wind Tiger alone. Considering the level disparity between the host and the Lightning Wind Tiger, the mission reward will be granted in advance: one Hundred-Year Soul Bone. Option three: Flee toward the rear and draw Zhu Zhuyun into the Lightning Wind Tiger's pursuit. Use the surrounding terrain to kill the Lightning Wind Tiger while fleeing. Mission completion reward: 1 destiny point.

"Sis, come on! Let's run!"

She quickly settled on a plan. Since she could set Zhu Zhuyun up, why not do it? Of the three options, the first was clearly the hardest. There was no way the two of them could catch a Lightning Wind Tiger bent on escaping.

The second option was a joke. It seemed to offer a free Hundred-Year Soul Bone, but it was practically a death sentence. Facing it alone-wasn't that courting death?

Zhu Zhuqing accelerated several times in succession. Under the Lightning Wind Tiger's astonished gaze, she led her older sister in a frantic retreat. As she fled, she picked up stones from the ground and threw them at its forehead.

"Clack-"

Several small stones struck the Lightning Wind Tiger squarely.

"Roar-" The Lightning Wind Tiger was furious. It had been planning to retreat, yet these two ants still dared to challenge its authority. They simply did not know their place.

The Lightning Wind Tiger rushed forward, pursuing the fleeing ants.

In its mind, since even these ordinary ants were fleeing, the people lying in ambush must be ants too. Since they were all ants, why shouldn't a great tiger like itself chase them down and swallow these little snacks?

Zhu Zhuqing fled straight toward the top of the enormous tree behind them.

That enormous tree stood some distance from the others. Given Zhu Zhuyun's build, she might not be able to leap across in one bound.

At the treetop, Zhu Zhuyun wore a mask and a tight black outfit, dressed entirely like an assassin. She slowly drew back the bowstring, an arrow formed from soul power ready on her bow.

She was prepared to kill her younger sister at any moment. If possible, she wanted to kill both of them.

But now her brow slowly began to crease. A sense of danger was drawing closer and closer.

Her two foolish younger sisters below had actually begun climbing the enormous tree at speed. They wanted to rush up to its highest point, where she was.

Damn it! Zhu Zhuyun cursed inwardly.

Her soul power dispersed, and the bow and arrow in her hands vanished with it. Her third, purple Soul Ring rapidly lit up. She crouched slightly, and the trunk bent beneath her.

"Whoosh-"

Zhu Zhuyun shot out like a cannonball, landing squarely on the crown of the enormous tree ahead. A bow and arrow condensed from soul power appeared in her hands once more.

Yet Zhu Zhuqing and Zhu Zhulin, who were only halfway up, acted as though they had planned this beforehand. Together, they leaped onto a long branch beside them, then pressed down on it, bending it.

The two of them also launched themselves like cannonballs, landing beneath the tree where Zhu Zhuyun stood before speeding up its trunk.

Their pace was neither too fast nor too slow, leaving Zhu Zhuyun no time at all to loose an arrow.

Refusing to believe she could not shake them, Zhu Zhuyun leaped toward another tree.

Zhu Zhuqing and Zhu Zhulin copied her movements and kept doing the same thing. The three of them began this tedious game of swinging from tree to tree.

"Roar, roar, roar!!!"

The Lightning Wind Tiger pursuing them below grew furious. These damned humans were just like monkeys, and it hated that kind of soul beast most of all.

Purple lightning gathered on its forehead, its glow growing brighter and brighter.

"Boom-"

Lightning surged forth, severing an entire row of trees ahead at their roots, including the tree where the three Zhu Family sisters stood.

After the lightning passed, the pointed horn on the Lightning Wind Tiger's head dimmed faintly, as though it had lost its luster. Only the faintest traces of lightning could be seen gathering there.
