The Man with Gold-Rimmed Glasses pointed at Zhu Zhuqing and shouted, "Grab this woman first!"
Three men wielding iron clubs rushed toward Zhu Zhuqing. The Man with Gold-Rimmed Glasses charged over with his own iron club as well; he did not dare face Xiao Wu, a One-Ring Soul Master.
Seeing this, the others quickly surrounded Xiao Wu. Among them, three men's auras suddenly changed, and three martial souls emerged from their bodies. Wielding their martial souls, they attacked Xiao Wu together.
The others immediately swung their iron clubs at Xiao Wu in unison. Who knew how many times they had practiced this coordinated assault? It was designed specifically to deal with soul masters.
At the same time, the Man with Gold-Rimmed Glasses lunged at Zhu Zhuqing from the left, a savage expression on his face. In his eyes, she was nothing but a beautiful little girl without even the strength to truss a chicken. He had already planned what he would do once he caught her.
The other three men holding iron clubs also approached Zhu Zhuqing slowly, sinister grins on their faces and malice in their eyes. One of them actually began stripping off his shirt in full public view.
"Hahaha, little beauty, just give in to us-"
The four men already believed they had Zhu Zhuqing in the bag. All of them actually began taking off their shirts.
Zhu Zhuqing closed her eyes, looking like a lamb awaiting slaughter.
"Hmph!"
A cold snort escaped Zhu Zhuqing's lips. She abruptly opened her eyes, and an invisible wave of energy rapidly spread outward. It moved so fast that it swept past all four men in barely a second.
And it continued accelerating toward Xiao Wu.
"Nine Transformations of the Soul Spirit: First Transformation: Nine Nether Yellow Springs!"
As Zhu Zhuqing spoke, the Man with Gold-Rimmed Glasses and the other three men suddenly felt as though they had entered another space. Zhu Zhuqing, that little white lamb, was nowhere to be seen.
Only the sky remained, constantly splitting apart as strange things fell from it.
They steadied themselves and looked up. Good heavens! Those were enormous, terrifying dragons, their bloody maws aimed straight at the four men.
"Run!" The Man with Gold-Rimmed Glasses hurriedly shouted to his three companions.
The four fled together, but how could human speed possibly compare to that of dragons? They could only watch helplessly as the dragons swallowed them.
Yet just when they thought they had died, they found themselves in another space.
The City Lord's Mansion in Nuoding City was brightly lit. A man dressed as a household servant rushed in from outside, hastily knocked, and entered, disappearing behind the door.
At the same time, Zhu Zhulin, who was selling fruit, also sensed something amiss. Everyone on the street was running in the same direction-toward the Real Estate Exchange.
"Shuzhen, I'm going to see what happened." Zhu Zhulin's heart was pounding, as though she had sensed some ominous premonition.
At the Nuoding City Junior Soul Master Academy, Grandmaster Yu Xiaogang was extremely anxious. Tang San had been out for so long and still had not returned. Normally, he would already have come to Yu Xiaogang's room for his lesson by this time.
"No, I have to go find him. That boy is so young, and he took two little girls out with him. I'm a little worried." Grandmaster Yu Xiaogang decided to head out.
If he found his disciple today, he would definitely give him a proper talking-to.
"First Soul Skill: Waist Bow!"
By now, people lay scattered all over the ground outside the Real Estate Exchange. Every one of them had passed out, and nearly all had been knocked unconscious by Xiao Wu.
Xiao Wu had found some rope somewhere and was using it to tie up all the men on the ground.
A short while later, they were all bound together, neatly divided into two groups, one on either side of the Real Estate Exchange's entrance.
Smack, smack, smack-
Xiao Wu briskly dusted off her hands. Feeling a little tired after all that work, she yawned and stretched.
"Zhu Zhuqing, these men really couldn't take a beating. I didn't even use any strength."
Xiao Wu jogged over to Zhu Zhuqing. With a disdainful nudge of her toe, she kicked away the glasses on the ground, sending them flying into the middle of the street.
"Radish cakes." Xiao Wu held out her hand to Zhu Zhuqing.
"Oh, you. Be careful you don't get fat." Zhu Zhuqing smiled, took a box of radish cakes from her Soul Tool, and handed it to Xiao Wu. Then she glanced at the little watch on her wrist.
The time read 7:05 p.m. There were still several hours until midnight.
Zhu Zhuqing picked up two iron clubs from the ground and tested their weight in her hands, then tossed one to Xiao Wu. Busy eating radish cakes, Xiao Wu caught it with displeasure. She was a little puzzled, unsure what Zhu Zhuqing intended to do.
In the middle of the street, the battle pitting Tang San and the Spirit-Summoned Azure Sky Tiger against the Two-Ring Soul Master was nearly over. The Two-Ring Soul Grandmaster was in poor shape; judging from his complexion, he seemed to have been poisoned.
The Spirit-Summoned Azure Sky Tiger was also on the verge of collapse. Several gaping, bloody holes covered her body, and part of her long tail was missing.
Clang-
The grating sound of an iron club dragging across the ground rang out continuously.
"Look! What is that girl trying to do?" someone on the side of the street exclaimed.
Before everyone's eyes, the beautiful little girl charged into the street, the iron club in her hand scraping along the ground. Tiny sparks flew up, standing out clearly against the dimly lit street.
"Roar!"
Sensing her master sprinting toward her from behind, the Spirit-Summoned Azure Sky Tiger threw back her head and roared excitedly. She turned and nodded at Tang San, signaling for him to hold the enemy off for a moment.
"Mm." Tang San seemed to understand the Spirit-Summoned Azure Sky Tiger's meaning and nodded back.
"Roar!" The Spirit-Summoned Azure Sky Tiger quickly turned around and ran toward the approaching Zhu Zhuqing.
The spectators on both sides of the street were startled. They thought the huge tiger was about to attack the beautiful little girl and shouted, "Little girl, get out of the way!"
Yet amid everyone's cries, Zhu Zhuqing used Spirit Cat Footwork, sprinting faster and faster. She struck the ground hard with her iron club, then leaped into the air toward the Spirit-Summoned Azure Sky Tiger.
"Oh no, such a pretty little girl is going to die." An old woman on the right side of the street shed silent tears. Unable to watch any longer, she covered her eyes and retreated behind the crowd.
A figure squeezed through the gap the old woman had left. She looked around the middle of the street, then fixed her gaze on the beautiful little girl riding the enormous tiger.
"Roar!"
The Spirit-Summoned Azure Sky Tiger roared again. She caught her master securely on her back, utterly delighted, as though showing off her agility and strength.
Zhu Zhuqing could sense that the Spirit-Summoned Azure Sky Tiger was in poor condition. She discreetly formed a hand gesture, and to everyone's astonishment, scabs rapidly began forming over the tiger's wounds. The enormous bloody holes slowly shrank.
This was what made summoned soul pets so formidable. As long as their master was within five meters, the master could use soul power to heal them. Unless they were missing an arm or a leg, it did not consume much soul power.
In the middle of the street, Tang San once again clashed with the Two-Ring Soul Grandmaster.
