Had Megumi Fushiguro tamed Mahoraga?
The answer was undoubtedly no. Although he had summoned Mahoraga several times to try to tame it, with Chinatsu or Satoru Gojo at his side as insurance, every attempt had ended in failure.
Megumi Fushiguro had concluded that the problem was his lack of decisive damage output. That same problem was what made Mahoraga so difficult for Toji Fushiguro to handle.
As Megumi Fushiguro summoned Mahoraga with zero startup, a cocoon appeared behind him like the descent of an angel. Mahoraga burst out of it and, without hesitation, swung the Sword of Extermination at Megumi Fushiguro before it.
Whoosh!!!
The Sword of Extermination swept through empty air. This time, the Black and White Divine Dogs had not whisked Megumi Fushiguro away. Instead, he had slipped into the shadows by exploiting the shadow terrain within his domain.
The wild, untamed Mahoraga was not particularly intelligent. After looking around and sweeping its gaze over its surroundings, it locked onto Toji a short distance away.
Toji's heart sank at the sight. He immediately braced himself for battle while trying to work out why Megumi Fushiguro had summoned Mahoraga.
If Megumi simply wanted to use Mahoraga to defeat him, that was far too naive. He might have hidden himself within the domain for now, but domains consumed enormous amounts of cursed energy. Toji did not believe Mahoraga could defeat him before the domain collapsed.
At the same time, he did not believe Megumi was being stupid.
Reality gave Toji little time to think, however. Having lost sight of Megumi Fushiguro, its primary target, Mahoraga charged explosively at Toji with the Sword of Extermination in hand.
