Miwa Chisei had just stepped out through the barrier surrounding the Jujutsu Higher-Ups' offices when she spotted a silver-haired figure crouching by the gate.

"Gojo?"

At the sound of Miwa Chisei's voice, Satoru Gojo turned around and raised a hand in greeting, a lollipop in his mouth.

"Miwa, I was passing by, so I came to pick you up."

How was this on his way anywhere? The Jujutsu Higher-Ups' offices were even more remote than Jujutsu High.

Miwa Chisei repeated herself, her expression unchanged. Satoru Gojo couldn't tell what she was thinking.

The girl breathed out a cloud of white mist. This winter was colder than she'd expected. It would probably snow soon.

"Did the higher-ups give you a hard time?"

"I don't think anyone can give me a hard time."

Satoru Gojo clicked his tongue at that.

The walk from the Jujutsu Higher-Ups' offices back to Jujutsu High took half an hour. The winding mountain road was wide, and the trees, already stripped bare, shivered in the cold wind.

"Oh, it's snowing."

Miwa Chisei looked up at the clear sky and spoke for no apparent reason.
