Satoru Gojo sat with his legs crossed, glaring unhappily at his best friend across from him.
"Geto, why didn't you tell me?"
"I wanted to surprise you and Miwa."
"Are you nuts?"
Foxlike eyes stared into sunglasses for a while, sparks almost flying between them. Then Suguru Geto propped his cheek on his hand and mentally took a step back.
"Did you forget our plan? Getting Miwa to fall for you? Her promotion mission is the perfect opportunity."
Satoru Gojo froze at that. Miwa Chisei had been busy with intelligence on the Kamo Clan lately, and he hadn't seen her in a while.
He'd almost forgotten something so important.
Satoru Gojo flashed a wicked grin and leaned comfortably back in his chair.
"I can already picture Miwa bawling her eyes out."
Suguru Geto merely smiled without replying, but a thought flashed through his mind. Could the worst-case outcome be Satoru Gojo bawling his eyes out?
"Oh, I bought you a book as a gift for your upcoming promotion to Special Grade."
With that thought, Suguru Geto took out a book and held it out to Satoru Gojo.
"It should come in handy."
Suguru Geto's smile was blinding, but the title on the cover, "500 Ways to Woo Girls," was even more glaring.
Satoru Gojo took one look at it and immediately hurled the book at Suguru Geto's face without the slightest hesitation.
"Fuck, do I look like I need this?"
Suguru Geto easily caught the flying book and placed it in front of Satoru Gojo again.
"It's just to make things more efficient. Take it, okay?"
