The agony coursing through his body drew a muffled groan from him. He weakly opened his eyes, his vision hazy.
Images of the earlier battle flashed through his mind. He closed his eyes and swallowed, his throat parched.

He coughed softly a few times, struggling to breathe.
He remembered how, at the very last moment, he had sacrificed an arm to finally drag both opposing Special Grade Sorcerers into the range of his domain.
His domain covered an immense area, easily breaking through their domains from the outside and cutting them both down. But his own injuries had left him unable to move.
Right... Uraume... He remembered Uraume coming too. With difficulty, he looked in that direction and saw the white-haired boy lying helplessly on the ground, covered in blood, his breathing almost gone.
Uraume was still alive!
Relief washed over him. He braced one hand against the ground and tried to stand, only to collapse again, powerless.
