The next morning.
Sukuna woke from his deep sleep. The hand resting in front of him instinctively tightened a little, only to grasp empty air.
He immediately opened his eyes and discovered that his little white ball of fluff was no longer in bed.
Sukuna instantly tensed. He swiftly searched the empty Innate Domain inside him, then got up at once, releasing his Mental Power and spreading it outward-
Uraume was busy in the kitchen, but Little Fox was nowhere to be seen.
A chill instantly rose in Sukuna's eyes, only for him to freeze a moment later.
He sensed Little Fox's familiar presence coming from Uraume.
Sukuna pulled on his clothes and headed to the downstairs kitchen. As he approached Uraume, the icy sharpness in his expression softened.
-He sensed Little Fox's Cursed Energy coming from Uraume, an energy he knew all too well.
When "Uraume" saw him enter, a smile immediately appeared, followed by a gesture toward the cake on the counter.
It was a moderately sized cake, giving off the enticing aroma of something fresh out of the oven.
Sukuna stared at the cake for a moment.
Then he heard "Uraume's" cheerful voice-
"San-san~, this is the cake I promised to make you yesterday~"
"Eat it while it's warm. It'll make a perfect breakfast!"
Sukuna looked at "Uraume" before him, momentarily dazed.
Although he knew Little Fox was using Uraume's body, the sense of incongruity was far too strong-Uraume never smiled as radiantly as peach blossoms... no, never smiled so sweetly and brightly.
He had to admit that the body Uraume was currently using was genuinely good-looking. Had its original owner been a woman? That sudden smile had caught him off guard and made him think it was someone else-
