"There's an old saying in China: you replenish a body part by eating its equivalent. So, Shinobu, I want pig's trotters." -Haruto Takanashi
Rank: Star Hashira
Born in the Swordsmith Village, Haruto Takanashi had an extraordinary love for the Demon Slayer Corps, likely due in large part to his childhood acquaintance with Oyakata-sama, Kagaya Ubuyashiki. Young Haruto and Kagaya met in the Swordsmith Village, where Kagaya's attire led to a few mishaps. The outcome, however, was a satisfying one: Kagaya became the final head of the Demon Slayer Corps, bringing an end to the demons, while Haruto became one of the powerful Hashira serving under him.

Drug research: he provided considerable assistance during Tamayo's research, including, but not limited to, work on the Dream Thief Drug and the Demonization Potion.
Mysterious gaps: throughout the entire work, Haruto Takanashi's storyline alone contained numerous conspicuous gaps. Many actions that should have received explanations were left for the audience to puzzle out using nothing but their imagination.
